More than just burgers … A Genuine American restaurant in El Born, Barcelona. A place where you can eat well, drink cocktails and enjoy an amusing “retro” environment.

We wandered through the park on the way to somewhere else and were really glad to stop there. There are plenty of shady places to sit and relax if you're enjoying a long day of exploring Barcelona. There is also the most spectacular and elaborate fountain which appears unexpectedly through the trees and is well worth a visit.
the park is very nice, during summer there are free concerts, what i like the most it is that you can rent a little boat to navigate on the small pond. There is an entrance to the zoo, the big fountain is very impressive and beautiful and there is a place where you can take a drink meanwhile listening the birds singing, to plan my holiday i found http://www.world-rt.com/ written by local guy, good info and tips

Nice park in Barcelona. We`ve been here in february 2009. This is not the season but we enjoyed the visit anyway.
My aim was findind the multi-geocache GC1AN9D and we stopped at several waypoint.
On is this MAMUT.
Else its fun to watch/see these parrots? on the way from TRIUMPF to the PARC. We don`t have them in wild.

Just as you think there may not be any more lovely parks and squares in Barcelona then you come across this gem. It wasn’t even on our itinerary for the trip so we more chanced upon it rather than planned the visit. Very glad we went however.
Original home to a fortress like Citadel (hence Ciutadella) the largest in Europe in fact, this housed the government. Most of the citadel was destroyed over a hundred years ago (in turn to construct this many local streets and neighbourhoods were demolished to make way for it) but even today the Catalan parliament is based here.
Eventually this are was turned into a central city park (although to my eyes Barcelona has many areas you could call a centre) and today houses Barcelona Zoo (famous for it’s sadly now deceased albino gorilla). The park also contains a large lake in which you can boat yourself silly around…the unforgiving heat somewhat put me off the prospect of such an activity.
An medieval castle (in appearance at least having been built in the late 1800’s) not contains the zoo museum.
This and the surrounding area’s have been redeveloped since the 1992 Olympics and by the looks of things continue to do so.
Given the number of statues, the lake and fountains (including the impressive Cascada) this Park is a fine way to wile away a summer afternoon.

Wedged directly between the old town and the new port area developed for the 1992 Olympics, this park is nice in that it has several different attractions. There’s a zoo, a zoological museum, green lawn space, benches, a pond with row boats you can rent, etc. It’s not particularly huge or relaxing or lush, but it’s a good place to take kids if they need a break from the busy streets.

Devan, 1 September 2008:
It’s a parc next to Barcelona zoo that is not far from the Arc de triumph and from Barceloneta Beach.
The park is full of cute little green love birds. With the palm trees and the singing of these birds you have the impression to be on an island… far away from the city… strange sensation.
