Good place, good food, and friendly staff,
Don't go just to carp and moan,
If you're looking for a good kebab,
Pack up and go back home!

I would have rated no stars.. went with mum for a sunday lunch today. on a rare sunday off.. the service was ok with pleasant staff .. HOWEVER . I have never been served such a bad meal in my life ! disgusting . The roast beef was of such poor quality I wouldnt have fed a dog with it.. the veg was clearly re heated and tastless and cold to say the least … the potatoes served cold with small portions and greasy . I could go on..I sent both servings back and refused to pay.. I real shame. I get about 4 sundays off a year..!!! . dissapointed to say tyhe least as I have eaten there before. However the service was fine. who ever is in charge of the kitchen .. and what comes out of it .. needs replacing they clearly dont care what they serve as a “cheff”
I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN …. thats a bit of a shame as I have had good meals there. wont risk that again. my advce AVOID . !..

Went for a lovely meal with a friend, what a hidden gem! Located just off the A3 nr Petersfield i wouldn't have know it was there but you basically head for McDonalds and its sat just behind. Service & food were faultless - it was clean tidy. Some great little tables for groups which would make you feel like you were in your own dining room (without the hassle of cooking or washing up!).

hidden gem .. I dont think so.. another production line of poor quality food..promoted well. if your lucky you get a good meal.. if not .. sub standard cold re heated .. poor quality tasteless food that needs putting in the bin rather that insulting paying customers with in edible food to keep profites up ..and cost down . a year ago or so.. this pub served good food.. Now.. Its disgusting .. to say the least.. never had worse ! ..

Had a really lovely meal last night, I had steak that melted in my mouth and Andy had his usual salad, and he said how good it was, and you know how fussy he is!
The service was friendly and even though they were very busy we did not have to wait too long for our meals to arrive.
Would definately go back again, great value for money.
Thanks

Very reasonably priced restaurant catering for all cliental including families with children, groups and couples.
There was a huge choice on the menu and the portion sizes were perfect, not too big and not too small. Food came out piping hot and fresh.
There is a car park on site making it easy to access the restaurant and they are more than happy for you to leave your car there overnight if you are having a drink.

After reading this review yesterday, I decided to go and try out the Great Oak and have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting too much as it is situated within the service station and usually service station amenities are not that great.
I was greeted on arrival by one of the managers there who showed me and my family to a table. We had a booth seating area which was very comfortable and spacious.
Our drinks were brought over promptly and the menu has a wide range of dishes to cater for all tastes. They even had a specials board which had a starter, main and dessert listed.
I opted for one of the burgers and my wife had steak and chips. The two children were very pleased as the menu had burgers for them too.
Reasonably priced - only £56 for the four of us with drinks and a dessert. We will be visiting the restaurant again in the near future.
