A church for young people. Which means: Church made by young folks. Services, theatre, concerts, movies and a lot more under the cross.

In the west of Hamburg a church was rebuilt as a youth church by the local church districts Altona, Blankenese, Niendorf and Pinneberg, soon to be known as church district “Hamburg-West/Südholstein”. Several hundred thousand Euros were invested to produce a unique project out of thin air. Complete freedom in the design of the sanctuary (where else could you find e.g. sand inside a church?), of course freedom for the programm, no community intervening or sharing the place - simply young people calling the tone, accompanied by a pastor.

To be honest, I got caught at once, though not beeing a youth by definition any more. But there is no one controlling your ID at the entrance, everybody will be welcome!
