This is a great place for a run. I usually start around temple and head East. You run past the millennium bridge, st pauls, the tower of london, tower bridge, then back past hms belfast, the globe and loads of nice old wharf buildings. Also, the route is flat, and relatively unobstructed if you don’t go during busy times.

If you fancy a short or long walk along side the River Thames then head to Richmond or Putney stations and make your way down to the river. You can pretty much walk alongside the river the whole way and there are plenty of pubs to stop for along the way for light refreshment. You will stay on the Surrey side of the river the whole way. From Putney walk down the river past a bunch of rowing clubs towards Hammersmith bridge, and then further down the river to Barnes bridge, and further to Kew, or even further to Richmond. All bridges mentioned are within 10 min walk from tube/train station so you can easily get home and can shorten/lengthen your walk as you like.
