Well, I must say, I wouldn’t normally sign up for this sort of promotion on the street, but I was looking for a new hairdresser nearer to the office so thought I’d give it a go – I so wish I hadn’t!
The hairdresser kept saying how pampered I’ll feel and that it’s a five star salon blah blah blah – I just wanted to sit there, have my hair done and read my magazine, which to me is pampering, not hearing his voice droning on and on about how he’s going to open up his own salon soon. I went in for just a colour so was very surprised when they didn’t even put a gown on me, just a plastic shoulder protector – thank goodness I didn’t have a light coloured outfit on that day! He then put the colour on and left me sitting there in full view of the street with everyone look in at me – why he couldn’t put me somewhere away from the window when I looked so hideous I do not know – very embarrassing! I don’t know much about hairdressing but I sat there for about 30 mins with no lamps on me, which I’m sure is standard. During this time the hairdresser came over to me and asked if everything was ok, I said fine, which of course I was going to as I still had hair colour on my head – the hairdresser had obviously just been out for a fag so I got a face full of rather gastly fab breath. Eventually I was taken over to the sink to have the colour washed out. When a conditioning treatment was put on I had to sit at the sink for what seemed like ages, no magazine was offered so I asked for one. I then sat up to read the magazine and water ran down my back so I had to dab my neck with the plastic shoulder protector. Eventually the hairdresser came over and I asked for a towel as I was getting rather wet by then – he put a damp towel on me, which was awful. The colour actually is rather nice, the condition of my hair is very dry and not as good as it was before I went into this hairdressers and the blowdry seemed like the hairdresser didn’t really know how to blowdry hair. Thank goodness I didn’t go in for a cut is all I’d say. I will never be going back here again and I’d not recommend anyone else go there – it’s a bucket-shop hairdressers!

I have to say after reading some of the comments, I was having second thoughts about my appointment. After convincing my husband to come in, Im so glad we did!!
We were at PYNK Saturday just gone, I came in couple of hours earlier and had a really nice guy do my roots and gave me a trim. I specifically booked the photoshoot on the same day as well as i just wanted a complete makeover and wanted some nice shots with the other half and our little boy.
Overall, the PYNK team were amazing they all had great personality and the end result was phenomenal. There was some waiting around but we were pre-warned that weekends are very busy.
New found confidence about myself. Thank you sooo much

Keep away from these people. I was accosted in the street by one of their sales reps and quite frankly after the way he was if they ever come near me again I will contact the police.
Stay out of my personal space, if I have a hairdresser I love leave me be, if I say I’m not interested in your offer leave me alone, do not try to cajoule me into giving you money, do not insult me when I say I do not have the money, do not touch me, do not ask about my sex life and do not try to blackmail me into giving you money for a “fabulous offer” that I neither want nor think is fabulous by saying that as you’ve signed it if I don’t pay for it you will have to. I never asked you to sign everything, and I certainly didn’t ask to be insulted in the heart of covent garden by some older man who doesn’t like the word no.
I will be reporting them to the relevent authorities because although I’m strong wnough to say enough is enough and walk away others will feel that they have to do it.
I have described this incident in much more detail on my blogger account as I feel that people need to be warned.

I have never been treated so rudely by anyone in my whole entire life before the PYNK sales representative!!! a fourty something year old man stopping a 22 yr old, on their own, getting FAR too into my personal space, angry body language and shouting at me when after i listened to his deal and didnt think it would be worth it! If that is anything to go by I wouldn’t use their salon even if i was paid!!!

My haircut is great I love it!!
After reading some of the negative reviews I was almost put off going, sooo glad I changed my mind. After I arrived all my worries soon vanished…those who I spoke to were very lovely and helpful. Not many salons get my hair right for me, but after going to PYNK I’m thrilled with the results.
Definitely be back soon! Looking forward to booking in for a photo shoot next! (Already told my husband I will be dragging him along to get some lovely shots of us ☺ can’t wait!!)

My best friend and I came all the way from Salisbury last week to have a makeover and photo shoot at PYNK. I wanted to write and say what a truly fabulous day we had. If being pampered wasn't enough the staff made the day for us. We were VERY well looked after. Even though we were a little nervous before the shoot we had the best time and the photos looked great!!
Having read a couple of negative reviews on here I wonder if we went to the same venue?
We enjoyed ourselves so much that I'm bringing mydaughter back for her 21st birthday next year.
We really did have the most wonderful day. Thank you so much to all at PYNK. First rate day out! THANK YOU!

Having really looked forward to the day, I couldnt have been more disappointed with the experience. Pynk had overbooked and so we were waiting between 40mins - 1 hour between make up and hair. We then waited over an hour for the photographer - who was audibly moaning to the receptionist and seemed more interested talking to his partner on the phone about his DIY purchases. The photos was nice enough - although we had to wait over 2 hours to see them. One picture required touching up - having been told it would be sent on in a few days, two and a half weeks later (following several unreturned phone calls and emails) I finally received the picture.
Given the price of the pictures, I expected better service - instead I came away angry and felt ripped off.

My boyfriend and I have just been down to PYNK to do a photo shoot and we had the most fabulous day! The staff were friendly and professional and really listened to what we wanted every step of the away and we came out looking far hotter than either of us expected in the photographs. BONUS!
We were pleased that the fact that we were a gay couple seemed to make no difference to the staff. In fact we were encouraged to camp it up and have as much fun as possible.! After all, that's what a day out should be.
Thank you to all at PYNK for making our day even more special than expected and for making our friends jealous! xx

I recently had my hair cut and coloured at Pynk and I'm really pleased with the results. I bought a promotion that gives me 50% off for the next 12 months and it was well worth it. I paid £35.00! By far the least I have paid for my hair in years.
My stylist was a very pretty guy called Ivan. Thank you Ivan. You got me a date!!! lol
I will absolutely be back! xx

I went to PYNK with my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago and i must say it was a really good experience. I really didnt know what to make of it when i was first approached to buy the promotion but had to give it to the promoter for his charm (although he shouldve not over exaggerated the deal). i received a call the second week in and was informed how 'busy' they are and needed me to book in advance, as much as thats what most telesales people do i believed him because the phones were going off non stop in the background. (do bare in mind they do ask for a deposit when booking to for their assurance, rightly so)
The day itself was amazing, my boyfriend hates this type of thing and had to literally drag him to come. The host was chilled back and very professional but kept us in check throughout the day. I hated my make up at first (until i saw the pictures), im not one to wear alot of make up so when i asked for something different i have half regretted it at first but clearly the girls know what their doing and the pics came out amazing. Photographer was super cool, was really nervous and my other half felt weird but we soon got into the flow of it and by the end we were loving it!!
We were asked to disappear for 25 mins and come back to view the images. The guy that showed us our pics was really helpful, i dont think he was a sales person just by looking at the attention to detail he took when helping us choose and his editing. The prices were expensive but justified with the quality of the pictures. he was soo patient as we took forever to decide and even gave us some time to talk money and not pressurise us which is really nice. Cause i wouldn't have bought if he was pushy!!
Really good day overall, advise people to go during the week or Sunday because according to my sister (who told me about them) found it really busy and hectic on Saturdays.
Thanks PYNK

After seeing a friends photographs from a day at Pynk I booked in to come down from Warwickshire with my 3 daughters to have a girlie day out in February 2011.
As my youngest had just turned 18 the three of us enjoyed a glass of bubbly together before being put through our paces in the makeup chair.
The staff at Pynk made us feel very relaxed and encouraged us to have as much fun as possible during the makeover and then the shoot, and you can see how much that attitude helped us to relax in the finished product. Much to my surprise we all looked wonderful in the photos. We really enjoyed our day at Pynk. Sadly its just that little bit too far for me to travel and take advantage of the hair promotion as well. However if I lived in london I would absolutely come back.

What an unexpected surprise. My daughter and I came down to PYNK to celebrate and mark a huge amount of weight loss on my part. 14.8 stone!
I have always hated having my picture taken due to my size but we met people from PYNK at the Vitality show in London and we were convinced to buy a promotion to come to the studio for a makeover and photo session.
I wasn't really looking forward to the day if I'm being honest, but once we were greeted by the staff, who were lovely, and given a glass of champagne I soon started to relax.
The entire day was so much fun and the staff made us feel extremely welcome. The photos were unbelievable. I've never looked at myself and thought I looked good in photos until this very moment.
Thank you for all at PYNK who have started me on the road to regaining my self confidence!

This was the best day out I have had in a long time. Me and my sister went down to PYNK on the 9th April 2011. The staff were friendly and seemed to really care about us as clients. After our consultation ( filling out a short form) we were then introduced to our stylists to discuss our "looks" for the day. I work as a make-up artist myself and was happy to be on the other side of the chair for a change.
The looks we went for were a bit daring but hey you only live once and after a glass of champagne we went down into the studio for our shoot. The photographer made us feel really great and made us laugh loads.
Later when we were taken to view our images I was worried we may be presented with a hard selling approach to the images but there was non of that. The photos looked great!! We were told that we could have the images altered digitally at no extra cost if we wanted it but the photos looked to good they didn't need anything doing to them.
After the shoot we went to one of the clubs on the promotion and spent the night looking fabulous until about 2am when we thought we should take ourselves home.
All in all a great day and night out. I'd happily recommend this place.

I was invited down from Manchester for the weekend by my best mate who had bought a promotion to spend the day at PYNK. I had done something similar with a northern company (Flawless) before so I thought I knew what to expect.
PYNK operated very differently. Firstly there weren't half the number of people in the studio as I'd expected, and we were greeted with a glass of Champagne at 10am!! GREAT! This meant that we were given proper time and not rushed which made the day much more enjoyable. My hair and make-up was fun and very different to how I would normally do it and although too heavy for day wear it looked great in the shots and lasted until we fell into bed much later that night.
The photos were brilliant and although I hadn't budgeted for it I bought loads. What a great reminder of my weekend in the capital. If I lived in London I would deffo recommend to mates! One happy northern gal :)

My boyfriend and I were approached by a guy selling coupons to give us discount hair services and a day at PYNK studios for a makeover a photo shoot. This was my idea of HELL but my better half convinced me it was just what we needed. I was not happy about handing over the cash, but now that we have arrived home from our day at the studio I felt i should write to say what a bloody fantastic time we had!
Not only was the atmosphere great. Good music playing and a few members of staff that were very easy on the eye... lol The end product was just brilliant. We started the day with a glass of bubbly... (even though it was early). The girls even had time to buffer our nails... We were totally pampered!
Our make-up artist took away those tired clubbing eyes that I can never seem to shake and we were whisked downstairs into the large studio. A great number of sets to choose from and we were away. It was so much fun and we felt completely comfortable.
Although the salon and the studio were busy we were not made to feel rushed or like "Just another customer" and when we were taken into one of the rooms to look at our shoot I was half preparing myself for the hard sell, (which never came). The photos looked great. Even with out photoshopping them! lol
We bought a lot of images... and I would happily recommend this service to anyone else. I'm booked in this week for my half price cut.. I'm hoping for the hot guy that was working on reception to cut my hair... lol
A very happy review from an initially skeptical customer!

I would just like to say how skeptical I was about buying a promotion on the street for a hair cut promotion and a photo day at PYNK, but I wanted something for my nieces birthday and this seemed like just the sort of thing that she would love. I was even more worried after I had read one or two of the reviews for PYNK on here...
I must say however that our experience of PYNK was nothing like some of the negative reviews that I have read.
My niece and I had the most wonderful day, being pampered, having our nails done and a cheeky glass of champagne thrown in too. We had so much fun during the shoot and were made to feel wonderful by our photographer.
My niece loved the photos, (they are already on FaceBook) and is now saving up to come back with one of her friends..
I have been back since to use the haircut part of the promotion and I'm very happy with the results. I also don't think that after buying the promotion for £30.00 that paying £35.00 for a cut with a senior L'Oreal stylist is expensive. Especially when you consider that I will be able to get my haircut for an entire year at £35.00 per cut!
The staff at PYNK were run off their feet but managed to make us feel like important clients, not just another in the long list of people they were dealing with. A huge congratulations go out to the makeup artists who made a 57 year old woman look very funky.
A great day out.

My boyfriend and I came to PYNK studios for a pamper/makeover/photoshoot day last week after buying a promotion at the Vitality show. We had the most amazing time!! The staff were lovely and made us feel special. Not like other studios I've been to before.
The makeup and hair (although not normally the way I would do it myself) looked great and the photos that we came away with are already up on the wall.
I would highly recomend this service to anyone who is looking for a great day out with a great end product.
Thank you team PYNK!

I purchased two vouchers for a pamper and photoshoot day with PYNK for £60 at a student freshers fayre. The offer indeed was very good and I was hesitant (I am a student and have limitted funds). I questioned the man selling me the voucher why this offer was being made to students as we have no money to buy photos. He assured me that it was a promotion for the studio for publicity so we would get free photos to put on facebook and refer our friends. It took me about 15 minutes to actually purchase the voucher as I was so cautious.
When we arrived at the Pynk studio we were not greeted with a "champagne reception" as we were sold but offered instead a cup of coffee or a glass of water. Bit of a let down - but hey, we were getting a good offer with vouchers!
Onto the manicure - not even a nail file! I was suprised by the nail varnishes they were offering - no silvers or blues or browns as I asked for just pink in stock! It looked as though a 13 year old had emptied her makeup bag! I was also suprised that I was being offered natural collections nail varnish from boots (£1.99) instead of the quality you would expect for an experience which was valued at £600!
The photoshoot was fun and the photographer was very nice, however the room we were give to change in was messy and there were crumpled clothes and curtains on the floor - not what you expect from a professional business.
Then came the traumatic experience of coming to buy the photos. There had clearly been a miscommunication between the sales people and those selling the voucher because they had no intention of giving us our photos free for publicity - and instead of the "refundable deposit" "free photo of your choice with airbrushing" as I had been promised - we were faced with costs of £4000 (remember we are students and had bought this at a student fair!!!!) No air brushing was offered even though it was stated on the brochure, and our free photo?? apparently you don't get to chose your free photo because its free - total manipulation!
We spent about 15 minutes with the sales lady trying to explain what we expected of the day - what they had sold to us! We were made to feel dreadful for taking advantage of their services without paying, with the salesperson constantly demanding of us why we had not budgetted for the day.
Clearly it was unfair on her and on us to have to deal with that situation. After 15 minutes we could see that we weren't going to get our deposit back so we finally agreed to purchase photos with it. I have since compared prices with other companies and the prices at PYNK are excessive. £350 for 5 images on a cd was the cheapest package offer.
Please be wary of these vouchers. first and foremost they do not accurately describe the experience with the champagne, handmassage, manicure, facial and airbrushing not included (even though these are clearly shown on the voucher!) But also because they are inappropriately advertised. This package should never have been on sale at a student event and I am disgusted with the management for having targetted their customer base so inappropriately.
