DO NOT TRUST JAMIE PARKINSON!!!
He is a con man and has disappeared owing money to lots of people. He owes my father over £1100 as he conned him into paying up front for a three year membership just before he did a runner!! He owes me over £350 also.

Jamie Parkinson Black belt academy lil dragon classes.

The lil dragons Karate programme is for 3-7 year olds which sounded perfect for my son who is crazy about power rangers and never sits stills even after full days at nursery.

The programme helps with

Balance, Confidence
Motor Skills Development
Eye-hand Coordination,
Listening Skills
Interaction with Other Children
Stranger-Danger
Self Defence
HowNOTtoHit
Improved Concentration
Exercise and Energy Release
Build Self-Esteem
Manners and Respect

Firstly my son attended a free trail lesson to see if he liked it. I think this a good idea as you don't know wether it will be to your childs taste or not. I'll never forget been forced into dance classes at a similar age and ending up in floods of tears as I hated it so much.

My son loved his first lesson, he had a great time so I was willing to sign him up there and then. This saved me the £100 joining fee which was a big help.

Classes are paid for by direct debt at a cost £49 a month. This includes two 45 minite classes a week. Classes are held serveral nights a week from 5 until 5.45 or saturday morning from 11.30 to 12.15. My son was provided with a suit to wear to train in and he did look adoreable in it as he still very small. You can either leave you child or stay and watch. I tend to leave my son as I don't want to distract him. He seems to manage the classes well considering his young child but he used to attending gym classes by himself. The coaches have all been so friendly and the older kids have been helping my son too keeping him on track and showing him what to do.

I noticed a huge difference in my son in just a few weeks after stating his classes. He became more confidenent and interacting with older children seem to have brought his speech along. It is also helping increase his appetite. I think the exercise really does him good. He loves his classes and comes out with a beaming smile saying I've had a good time or I worked really hard today.

They also learn life skills for example stranger danger and fire safety, he came home recently and was showing me how to roll on the floor if he caught fire. After a couple of months he got his first badge for first aid.

Progress in the academy is assess through gradings for belts. As the lil dragons are so young they start by earning striped belts. Gradings take place every 2-3 months and children will be invited to attend and it cost £25. My son recently had his first grading. My son was delighted when he got his new belt. There are lots for the children to aim for with belts and badges and stickers are given out in each class to students who have worked extra hard, behaved well etc. I think this is a great way to encourage to children to do well.

I am so happy that my son enjoys his classes son much. I hope he will continue to complete the two year programme he will then be able to continue on to the juniors and do more advanced training.

Jamie certainly is no longer the person described here!!! He is a liar, a thief and a con man!! Don’t trust anything he says and certainly don’t EVER give him any money!!!!

This review is two and half years old, my son left the classes two years ago as the kids were expected to be graded every two months and classes were been cancelled and the building was too cold.
