Always been a fan, went there again yesterday after a couple of years hiatus and pleased to say it was just the same! Solid for a good night out.

Stumbling on The Collection was a real treat. Having never heard of it before, I didn’t quite what to expect for my first staff night out…
From the fab catwalk entrance, which set the tone perfectly, to the attentive staff, delicious food, great atmosphere and décor, it was a top notch venue.
Although it was quiet, it was a Tuesday night, so I’m sure it would be buzzing on a Fri/Sat.

As you walk in the slightly hidden entrance to The Collection you get the impression that there’s a whole lot more than meets the eye.
Thanks to some great landscaping and fun additions such as the “catwalk” walkway and sloping bar, the space works on a variety of levels, whether it’s an after work drink with friends and colleagues, a romantic meal on a first date or a night out at the weekend.
The staff were attentive and the food plentiful and very tasty – not the usual frozen, oven heated bar snacks. It was a great venue for my first Qype social and I’ll definitely be coming back on a weekend when it’s slightly livelier.

Walk down the catwalk that has been used for fashion runway shows and you’ll find yourself inside this slightly-hidden South Ken venue.
I cam here last night for the Qype Social and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The staff were very friendly and made sure we were taken care of all night by offering new glasses, clearing tables and bringing over more tasty treats and wine/pitchers of water as our glasses and plates emptied.
For a Tuesday night The Collection was expectedly quiet, but I hear it picks up at the weekends.
And yes – I did do a quick, not-so-discrete, strut down their catwalk on my way out! (Which I highly recommend – it’s not every night you get this chance!)

We had a social afterwork here with around 15 – 20 people and it was really nice!
I really liked the place, the design is gorgeous, there are Dixon lamps all around (Im a big fan of all of them), the entrance corridor is quite funny as well, the staff is welcoming, music was good too!
I had a look at the menu and meet the chef – the diner food looks really good, they do fresh bread (Wwow), import their product directly from Italy and I would love to taste their entire menu… We had some lovely nibbles like mini burgers, chicken croquetas etc… and everything was very very tasty!!
It seems to be expensive but looking at the quality of the food and the place I think it’s worth it (if you can afford ☺)
I’ll definitely come back on a weekend night!
My experience at this venue last night was great overall. Starting from the long catwalk you have to walk through to get to the entrance, to having the door opened for you & being offered to have your coat taken,…everything is cleverly done to make sure you feel like you’re actually a very important person, which is rather nice from time to time. The first good impression didn’t stop there though. We were really well looked after all night and the food/canapes were particularly good. Never enjoyed mini beef burgers so much before! It’s a pity the place was not a bit more lively as we were almost the only ones there. Having said that, it was a Tuesday!

A lovely place to be taken by work to chill out, have some lovely mini-burgers and good wine that keeps on flowing! Well presented, great surroundings and professional staff who make the evening feel effortless (so important with office do’s – that everyone can have fun and mingle). I’m not sure If I personally would seek out this place (but that has more to do with the price tags on the drinks ;-) , hence my four stars instead of five – but when in need of a swanky club feel…. definitely the place to go!

Came here with a group of work colleagues for an after work session and had a really nice time.
It was a bit quiet but I guess we arrived at 6. But very attentive staff, lovely sharing food and in the end very good value indeed for an evening for 15 people many of them meeting for the first time.
I guess it’s busier at the weekends than week evenings.

It’s very rare that a Tuesday can give you a Friday feeling, isn’t it?
Well, yes we had an after work social get together a welcome party for some of our new heroes and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to do it. It was indeed a great great fun.
To start off, I loved it’s entrance I found it quite fancy. The atmosphere was great inside. I’m non alcoholic so can’t really say about the drinks but looking at the intake of red & white wine bottles by my team, I can say without a doubt that they were an absolute beauty ;)
I concentrated on the food and it was brill, especially those mini burgers. Liked the service as well, they were polite and prompt.
Definitely recommend. Would love to visit again!

You know, I really wanted to dislike this bar purely based on its postcode in the swanky, wanky part of town but I confess, I absolutely bloody loved it! Vast, open plan, dimly lit and an immaculately presented bar and restaurant, offering up some to-die-for minuscule prawn tempura washed down with Korbel champagne which went down oh so sweetly.
Straight from my beloved California, the Korbel Winery burst through the vineyard ranks in the 1880s. It was during this time that the Korbels sent for winemaker Frank Hasek in Prague to come to the United States to be their champagne master. Employing the time-honored French method of producing champagne, méthode champenoise, the Korbels quietly but aggressively experimented with cuvées. By the mid-1890s, the Korbels shipped their first California champagnes; my virginal experience last night was more than satisfactory.
A popular haunt for professional networking nights, rumour has it this franchise actually pays eligible professionals to glug champers and scoff sushi for free, well it certainly worked well for me last night! Not bragging yet contented inspirationjunkie. Off to rest my weary head...

I dislike lots of places based on their postcode. :)

Haha, excellent! Come watch Brazil kick some butt there tomorrow night if you need a place to watch the football?

Thanks, sounds fun but it's a bit out of my way... (which takes me to Dalston). But there's still plenty of matches to watch before the World Cup is over. :)
