Another successful trip to Zuba Hair, I use the hair part of this salon more than the beauty, but recommend both. Always get a quick service, no waiting around and great one to one consultation. All you ladies (and gents) should look up this place, it's in the Inverleith area, I really rate it!

This is a fab wee salon which offers everything you will be surprised what Cat has managed to ram in lol, but it works! All the treatments are great and soo cheap! you always get a giggle and a cuppa when getting a treatment. i will say book in advance as they are hard to get an appointment with at times but i am glad they are doing well as dont want to loss them from the street!!

HI JUST THOUGHT I'D ADD A REVIEW ABOUT ZUBA-I HAD A CUT AND BLOW DRY FROM THE HAIRDRESSER A FEW WEEKS AGO AND I REALLY LIKED IT, THE PRICE LIST IS GREAT COMPARED TO OTHER PLACES I'VE BEEN TO SO MUCH SO I'VE BOOKED TO GO BACK IN A FEW MONTHS, SO HAPPY I'VE FOUND A LOCAL SALON WITH GREAT SERVICE AND PRICES. I REALLY RECOMMEND MARI ANNE.

I went to Zuba for a full head of blonde highlights and came out with my whole hair bleached with my colour i had previously half way down my hair. I was really upset and had to get this fixed at another salon to the colour which i had asked for. Also i let the hairdresser know i usually have a toner put on my hair to make my hair ash in colour and i was told i did not need a toner. I also asked for my hair to be cut a certain way, not straight cut but cut into to take the weight off the ends, and i was told by the hairdresser she doesnt cut into her clients hair, which i found very off putting as i was paying for the service therefor i should have my hair cut the way i wanted it to be cut. I was not shown a colour chart and did not ask for bleach, i asked for the lightest blonde and ended up walking out the salon with yellow half bleached hair and my original colour which i worked so hard for has now been lost. I am very disappointed with the service i received.

I am deeply disappointed that you have had an unsatisfactory experience in our salon . We strive to provide the upmost level of customer care and service. we are not in the habit of receiving complaints and take them very seriously.
As soon as was made aware of your review i contacted the hairdresser to see if she recollects you as i only have your qype name to go on. To our hairdressers Marie ann knowledge she does not recollect doing a full head bleach in the last 7 months and we do not seem to have a full head bleach in the book?
Our Marie ann prefers highlights to bleach as it is a more natural result therefore does not do it very often.
As this is the first i am hearing of this i am not sure when you had it done, i would be grateful if you would contact the salon regarding this matter as that would shed some light and to discuss.
once again apologies but with only a qype review and no knowledge of your appointment in the book i find it very hard to resolve this unless you contact us.

Hi
Thank you for your reply, i did not ask for a full head bleach, i asked for a full head of highlights. My whole head looked like a full head of bleach, even though this was done as highlights, the aftermath looked like a full head of bleach at my roots and my previous colour half way down my hair, plus some black roots still at the back of my hair.
My appointment was booked for 19th April at 2 oclock.
The colour may have not been bleach, but i did say i wanted my hair to look ash, and it looked yellow in colour like bleach. I also asked if i needed a toner to get the ash effect and was advised that it did not need a toner when i was advised by another hairdresser that it did. I was really upset as i had worked hard to get the colour i wanted for months and when leaving the salon my hair was so bright yellow/white that it seems as though i had had an alover colour on the top and my colour before half way down. If there is anything you can do to reinburse this would be appreciated as i had to spend alot of money getting my hair fixed the next again day.

I first went to zuba a couple of years ago and got my wedding make up done. I was very impressed by this little salon as i had a trial in a diffrent salon which was 3x the price and was awful. Everyone said my make up was lovely. Since i have been going every month for my waxing and as a treat my make up & hair for a night out.
Really good prices ,great salon.

I have been going to zuba for sometime now and really like it. It is only a small salon but what it lacks in size it makes up for in atmosphere . The girls are all lovely and make you very welcome.
The new hairdresser is great (sorry cant remember her name but there is only one ) Kat & sharon are great very easy to talk to beauty therapists. They would put anyone at ease .

I FOUND QYPE THE OTHER DAY WHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR ZUBA'S NUMBER AND I THOUGHT I WOULD WRITE A REVIEW.
I STARTED GOING TO ZUBA LAST YEAR THROUGH A DEAL FOR GLYCOLIC PEEL AND WAS VERY IMPRESSED BY FIRSTLY, THE TREATMENT AND HOW NICE THE SALON IS. THE FACIALS ARE DONE IN CANDLE LIGHT AND THERE IS ALWAYS SOOTHING MUSIC ON.
I HAVE HAD MANY TREATMENTS DONE HERE AND YOU WILL NOT GET THE LEVEL OF SERVICE ANYWHERE ELSE FOR THE MONEY. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRODUCTS THEY USE.

GREAT GREAT SALON!!

This is a great salon, i have been going to zuba for the last 2 years and have to say her treatments are the best i have ever had.
I have a hotstone massage which is only £25 ( i was paying 50 in the last salon and although the girl was lovely she was not half as good as kat). I have booked in with new hairdresser as she done my friends hair and thought it was lovely.
Good work kat, you derserve the good reveiws and you work hard to get them!! see you soon!

I have been using Zuba since Kat opened two years ago and love the waxing & the hot stone massages are amazing so I thought I'd branch out & try getting my nails done there. I got gel extensions with glitter on them (rockstar I think) And I love them so much, Tracey was so friendly and even the hairdresser lauren helped make a choice with the colours as there was too much choice!! My nails were done 2 weeks ago and still as shiny & nice as the first day & now I cannot wait to choose my new colour combination on my next visit!

i have vivisted this salon a couple of times now to get my nails done, always brilliant results from day to day to party nails . I also recently had the hot stone massage as i have a lot of back pain and have always wanted to try it- it was amazing could realy feel it working throughout and felt so relaxed afterwards amazing cant wait for my next one ( which will be soon very soon ) . The staff are friendly and fun yet very profesional - great salon cant wait to try other treatments

I first found Zuba a few days before my wedding last January, I went for a manicure, eyelash tint and facial with Kat.
The treatments were absolutely fantastic, Kat was so nice and treated me to a pedicure once she knew i was getting married.
I have been going every month for a facial and eyelash tint and waxing every 6 weeks ever since and I would never go anywhere else.
Value for money is great, the treatments always make my skin look fabulous and Kat is so nice and friendly.
Basically i would recommend Zuba to everyone, it's worth it.

I have been going to Zuba for some time now and find that it is well managed and a lovely salon. the staff are approachable, easy going and most importantly listen to your needs. I have had several treatments including hot stones massage, shellac and various waxing all done by Sharon. She is great at recommending things that she thinks I would like and it was one of the best massages I have ever had as she really focussed on my tight areas! I completely recommend zuba and have told all my family and friends about it. definately worth the money too!

I found out about this salon at work and the more I spoke about it i realised that this was a very popular salon to go too in the area. I went for my appointment but as it was raining and I was really early I just went straight in! I was greeted at the door with a smile and was taken to the seating area where I was giving a hot drink a biscuit and magazine! The girl (cant remeber her name) was very friendly and said she would be able to take me soon. I was very pleased with my massage as it was getting really sore shoulders and she listened to me and worked in that area for longer (as normally they ask but seem to carry on with their routine) after my very deep massage I was informed that for just £4 more I could get a full body massage on a Monday by the same girl! I have booked back in and am very looking forward to it! Best little salon and I would recommend to anyone!

I found Zuba about a year ago and it is such a refreshing little salon. Kat ,who has been talked about alot on this really does deserve the good praise! i went to her through a recommendation from a friend, after i had a bad experience at another salon is an amazing therapist. Very easy to talk to and she explains everything as she does it which puts you at ease. Recommend to anyone and its very reasonable priced.
