Very good sandpapering techniques which are very good for my real nails which have been taking a bit of a hammering from previous nail bars where they used the electric drill. Happy with the acrylics as well. Many thanks Kim.

I like the way they do  acrylic and shellac nails in this place. I've been having my nails done for years by the Chinese nail salons around Manchester but Chorlton Nail bar is the only salon that uses sandpaper to roughen my natural nails before applying the acrylic powder or shellac gel  instead of using the electric drill like in other salons. I  noted a massive difference: Sandpapers do not thin or damage your natural  nails at all compared to the drill. This means I can carry on for as long as i want having acrylic or shell nails whilst having strong natural nails underneath. In the past I  had to stopped having my nails done for months to give my nails a chance to recover as they got so thinned from the drilling. The Quality of nail  work at Chorlotn Nail bar are excellent too. I will be definitely returning to this fabulous nail salon for a foreseeable future.

This is one of the very few salons which offers good Discounts on many things. I paid £15  for lovely long lasting  Shellac Nails. Eyelash Extension is very cheap too costing only £12, Excellen full body swedish or Indian head massage for £26 an hr and very cheap Waxing as well. Beautiful shop with big screen TV and tasteful pictures on walls. Thanks Chorlton Nails for the discount and the high quality workmanship. your the best  salon in Manchester.

I visited this salon for the very first time since my move to Chorlton 6 months ago and think its really good. Kim is one of the best technicians I have seen who makes very nice acrylic nails. Her art designs and polish are lovely too. When I left the salon I felt I can entrust my nails to her.Thank you Kim.

Got acrylics done.. Didn't do a neat job, can see bubbles, it's not smooth or leveled.. Nail art is ok as she didn't listen to exactly what I wanted.. Pretty disappointed.. I rather pay someone else few extra pounds for a better job!

I love this nail salon . Been coming here for ages and would not go anywhere else. Love the nails they make here and the girls are nice. Sometimes i make an appointment, sometimes i just walk in on the spur of the moment and never been let down.  I would recommend it without any reservation :)

A good place for inexpensive but beautiful shellac nails. Full set acrylic is brilliant too. However, the wait can be long as they only have 2 girls. It took 40 minutes before my nails were attended to last time. I love the salon's decorations and Kim is excellent at her job but I would be happier if I didnt have to wait that long. I suppose the salon gets quite busy at times so I will haveto make an appointment next time although thats not easy for an impulsive person like me.

My sister uses Chorlton Nails regularly and recommends it to me. They made a very good value for money set of shellac nails for me for only £17 to replace my previous set which wasn't as nice and  costed me £25 in the City centre (rip off). The spa pedicure at Chorlton Nails is very good too with all the hard skins sliced off without cutting into my skin. The girls are very friendly and good at what they do. Got to try the acrylic nails next time. My sister's full set looks lovely and seems very well made.

I waited to be seen for a considerable time for a shellac removal and regular manicure. I do not have acrylic nails and I refused when the technician tried to take off my shellac with the drill(!) as I did not want my nails to be damaged.

Instead of placing a bit of cotton wool dabbed in acetate on each fingernail and wrapping each fingertip in tin foil and leaving for 15-20 minutes the technician made me put my fingertips into a bowl of acetate until the skin around my fingertips went white and wrinkly. My fingers felt horrible. 

The manicure itself was poor; the nails were of an uneven shape and I had to ask for a tissue as the cuticle oil that was liberally painted on my fingernails was left on - which would have gotten all over my hair had it not been removed.

I was not made to feel welcome during my visit. Both technicians were busy with other clients and when it came to dealing with me the assistant technician did not speak to me or make eye contact, presumably because I refused to let her near my nails with the drill(!). 

The day after the manicure it chipped. 

I will not be returning to Chorlton Nail Bar.

From the reviews above it seems their speciality is acrylic nails which is fine for people who are comfortable allowing someone to strip their fingernails of layers with an electric drill, but if you want a proper manicure/shellac I would advise you to go elsewhere.

    I thought the manicure and shellac I had were very good. Whatever method they use they would still have to use acetone to take the acrylic or shellac gel off. Your finger tips will go white and wrinkly regardless but thankfully they will recover after a few hours. I don’t have time for my fingers to be carefully wrapped up in tin foil so prefer dipping my finger tips in a bowl. I don’t have any problem with the drill to take off my old shellac layer as she did it with great care and skills but if you don’t like it then you should ask them to use a file or sand paper instead.

Excellent quality and reasonable prices on nail work. Chorlton Nails are one of the very few nail salons in Manchester that can still deliver lovely and long-lasting acrylic / gel nails in the midst of so many nail bars; most of which are very disappointing really. It is the only good nail salon in Chorlton when it comes to nail extensions or infils for sure.

    Totally agree with this comment about Chorlton Nails and Fish Spa. Had a very bad experience with a nail bar a few hundred yards a way called Image Nails and Beauty which made terrible looking arcylic nails and they didnt last more than a few days before all dropping off and bad customer Service too.

Had a perfect acrylic fullset at Chorlton Nails for only £20 a few weeks ago. Really good value for money, lovely looking and still perfect after 4 weeks. Miles better than the salon in Fallowfied which charged £25. Lovely chinese lady technician at Chorlton Nails too. Dont get confused with Image Nails & Beauty nearby on the same road which also employs Chinese lady and where they only charge £18 for an acrylic fullset which couldnt get any uglier and thank God only stayed on for 2 days before they all broke away, so dont get tempted by the cheap price which infact came to £26 with painting.

A bit disappointed that I was made to wait for 30 minutes although i was only 5 minutes late for my appointment. Surely 5 minutes late is acceptable when they knew i had always turned up for my previous appointments. The workmanship of my acrylic fullset nail was i must say excellent as always if not even better this time but i was still a bit annoyed as i had to be some where and eventually got there very late. :(

This is definitely the best nail salon in Chorlton and South Manchester. Its been 4 weeks since my last visit when I had a fullset of acrylic nails put on and now i am ready for an infill with all of them still stuck to my nails like supper-glue. They are also lovely, looking natural just like my own nails. I agree with other reviews that the oriental nail bar nearby is no comparison, their acrylic nails are so thick, wrong shape and many of them don’t stay on your fingers for more than a few days…….apart from that they are very good!

The two current chinese technicians at the Chorlton nails salon are excellent acrylic nail makers. They do nail extensions and infills which look so natural, so consistently beautiful and are very well made lasting till your next visit. Be careful not to get mixed up with another chinese owned nail bar called Image Nails & Beauty not too far away on the same road as they are novices in comparison.

Nice looking, long-lasting acrylic nails and very good customer service. A different class compared to the new chinese nail salon a few hundred feet away. The fish pedicure treament they have is awsome. My skin is so much softer after and stayed soft for a good few days after. I suffer from very dry skin and this could be the answer. The eczema on my sister hands and feet have improved a lot as well. There is definitely something produced by the little fish that has made this possible besides their dead skin eating. One more thing is that its very clean and pretty and the fish look very happy and healthy.

Thank God I found the Chorlton Nail bar after the most disappointing experience with Image Nails & Beauty in Chorlton where i had a fullset acrylic nails done 3 weeks ago. They were bloody awful looking wonky and so thick they looked absolutely horrendous. Whats worse 6 of them dropped off after only 2 days. When i went back instead of apologising she said it must have been my fault because i had banged my hands hard against something which of course I didnt (even if i did would 6 nails come off without a broken hand?) and they rudely refused to retify their bad workmanship. Thank God for Chorlton Nail bar who put it right for me and they are still perfect after nearly 3 weeks. Image Nails and Beauty's 20% off special offer turned out to be a waste of time and money I would never go back.

9 out of 10 for this nail bar! Where do i start? The shop is clean, tidy and is very pretty with flowers, exotic plants and a large flat TV to watch while you are having your nails created. The service is friendly, relaxing. Obviously all that would mean nothing if the quality of the work didnt measure up. But hey, the nails they produced are top class and do not lift or break for weeks and they do look very nice too with art designs and 3 D acrrylic flower designs. So where is the missing mark? There were only 2 technicians and I had to wait for 20 minutes before i got served. I am a busy business woman and every second counts so that matters to me a lot. However, because it is close to being perfect in other ways especially the high quality of the nails I am considering giving it a 10!!!
