Although fondly referred to by those in the know as ‘The meat market’, Billy the Bums always guarantees you a fun night out - even if you weren’t ‘on the hunt’ per se.

The cocktail menu was both affordable and impressive with the usual top ten as well as some Billy-only concoctions that were sure to mix a variety of flavours and spirits and get you rather sozzled by the end of the evening. They also hold flaring competitions which are pretty entertaining.

Not sure if they still do it but my favourite was a little thing they called the screaming orgasm. Perfect for a friends Birthday, they lie you on the bar counter while a scrummy bar tender flares like a pro whilst gyrating his hips right above your face. The music gets louder, everyone watches and it’s a right laugh.

If you’re in Fourways for an evening, I’d definitely give this one a visit. Food is pretty tasty too.
