I've been going to Samuel David for some
time now and always see Danielle who is a brilliant stylist!!. I've been to
both salons in Bristol (but a regular in W-o-T) and I must say the staff in
both salons are very friendly and the atmosphere is great.
I would definitively recommend this to anyone who wants an excellent service,
friendly atmosphere with a group of very good stylists!
Keep it up guys! :)

My family and I have struggled for a long time to find a decent hairdresser and along came Danielle, we all have very different hair types, styles and demands, but this has never fazed Danielle infact she offers great advise and new styles to suit and has raised the bar in our expectations. Not only is Danielle a very accomplished hairdresser but she is one of the nicest people you would want to meet, keep up the good work, David.

Not impressed. Danielle spent a good 10 mins discussing how she would cut my hair and then gave me a 'short back & sides', completely ignoring or mistrusting her original style plan. This would not have been so bad had I not been trying to grow my hair and had not had it cut for 7 months. There was more of my hair on the floor than on my head and all I wanted was a tidy by a good stylist. I will NOT be going back.

I've been to several different salons since moving to Bristol 18 months ago but was never happy with the cut i received until i visited SD westbury on trym. I've not always had the same stylist but i always get the same great customer service. As well as a friendly environment I like the fact that I get advise about what cut might suit me but how they are cutting it. I had never thought about that before but it's nice to know what they are doing and why.
Id say you get the service and cut of a high end salon but very responsibly priced.

I've recently moved to Bristol and have been trying out hairdressers without any local knowledge. Just had a superb morning at Samuel David with Danielle and will definitely return. There was a really warm welcome and Danielle took great care in listening to what I wanted. Lovely calm setting with nice music, great decor and outstanding coffee! Probably the best hair cut I've ever had. Thank you!

ive been to danielle now 4 times. she was so lovely, had a very bad experience at christmas with another hairdressers and danielle sorted it out in time for christmas and i didnt have to wear a bag on my head like i thought lol, t.e salon is very relaxing and is lovely with the new decor, the staff are very friendly and very helpfull, a lovely relaxing time from start to finish, i would never go to another hair dresser again

Danielle coloured my hair last week, she was wonderful! I was nervous and had not had a colour on my hair before; she gave me loads of options and reassured me through the whole process. I am so pleased with the result, I wanted something that looked natural and it is just how I wanted it.

Just had my hair cut and coloured by danielle. I LOVE my hair! Its shiny, healthy and wonderful! I've been to a few salons over the past years, but will continue to go to SD's now. Don't listen to the bad reviews! All the girls are friendly, chatty, put you at ease and certainly know their skill! I don't trust many people with my hair but I'd happily have any of the styists do mine!

Came to Samuel David for some natural Highlights to break up my block ish blonde colour i already have. I haven't had my hair Highlighted for over 2 years., as just been doing a simple roots application.
I seen a senior stylist 'Wendy' she was fantastic she got the colour spot on!! She gave me exactly what i asked for.
I have re-booked and will be back very soon!
Lovely looking salon, very friendly staff and very relaxing atmosphere.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Well priced with good introductory offer.
THE BEST HIGHLIGHTS I HAVE EVER HAD! so thorough, great colour - bleach and toner balance perfect and amazing coverage!!! Spent the time getting it right (not like over priced chain I have been too before!!)
Had it done for my wedding and was chuffed... will be returning for re-growth!
Lovely ladies and great hairdressers!

So sad and disappointing. I had read reviews and thought it would be good.First time the stylist cut it and I was happy,but she left.! Second time I had doubts. third time. the cut was average, but the blow drying was appalling- so very bad I felt embarrassed walking home, and after the large cost it was wasted, because I washed it myself on immediate arrival home. The person would just not listen when I said I was unsure it was going to look okay, and continued on. Consequence- I have not returned.
However I wish I had told my family as my niece has just been there to have subtle highlights/lowlights, she is in her twenties. She expalined what she wanted but again they would not listen and she ended up looking dreadful- she was tearful and very upset. What did she do- again after huge cost- went home and bought a colour and coloured her hair so she could go out that night without feeling embarrassed!!!! ( a risk to dye your hair so quickly as well).
Sadly unless they re think what they are doing they will lose more custom- what a shame.But i would not recomend to any friends or family it is not worth the cost for the risk.

I have been going for nearly two years now and consider myself lucky to have found such a great salon at my doorstep. I cannot fault Wendy, who is not just very skilled but a lovely person – can trust her completely, a great relief after having had the same hairdresser for 8 years before moving to Bristol and struggling to get a decent haircut before finding this gem. My colour is even complimented by total strangers!

Samuel David is a superb salon; what a gem to find. I have tried so many different salons in the last few years around the UK and have never had the ‘wow’ factor from any of them, including Vidal Sassoon. I can honestly say that Danielle gave me the best cut I have ever had! Pricing is very competitive, great interior design too and this months copy of Vogue to flick through in Reception. Warm and friendly welcome and my appointment was on time. Highly recommended.

After trying other ‘good salon’ guide hairdressers and being very disappointed with the results i decided to give Samuel David in Westbury a go and am very glad that i did. Mel and the other staff are welcoming and the online booking service and late night opening is very convenient. Lots of people now ask me who cuts and colours my hair and i am happy to recommend Mel and the rest of the team. Good advice and a good cut and colour in relaxed surroundings.
