Village d'Yvoire

I heard about this pretty village a boat ride away from Geneva and so took the ride from the petit plage one weekend. On arrival i was in love with the old town still retaining its medieval appearance..and yet the staff in some restaurants were not very friendly..and the touristy feel of the other shops left me disappointed. Its not that big here so you can tour the village in a few hours. Anyway I found one cool clothes shop-a lovely lady helped me,but after that I was really bored. So I stepped into the shop selling local wines and as I took a bottle from the poorly stacked shelf to look at they all cascaded down to the floor smashing and crashing on my legs. No apology from the owner for overloading the space..just swearing at me.i bought 2 bottles amidst glares..and then took the early boat back. i wont be going back.
