Monty’s describe themselves as ‘the finest Nepalese restaurant in Kingston’ - undisputedly, as I’m pretty certain they are the only Nepalese restaurant there…! I’ve enjoyed each visit I’ve made here.
The staff are chilled, with a certain Nepalese(?) serenity and kindness about them. The restaurant itself is understated; decorated in cool cream tones, with attractive plant and floral displays and inspiringly tranquil photographic scenes of Nepal.
I enjoyed the food, too: well-spiced and a little lighter than most - more mainstream - Indian restaurant dishes I have eaten. Prices are mid-range. Although I can only comment, personally, on the experience I’ve had dining at the restaurant, they also offer a catering service and do home deliveries. Ideally I’d award them three and a half stars…
