Have been going to this Bikram location for a little more than a year and like it overall. The lobby and changing rooms are a bit cramped but the studio itself is relatively large compared to some I’ve been to and have mirrors on both the front and side walls which are a nice bonus (some I’ve been to only have the front mirrors).
Bikram is hard and demanding and it can be difficult to force yourself to go sometimes, but good instructors inspire you once you are there, and make you want to go again. For example Louise is fabulous—she makes you want to work as hard as you can. if I see her on the schedule there is a much greater chance I’ll drag myself off the sofa and go. I go about twice a week but would probably go more often if she taught more classes. Paul is also excellent, he corrects in a way that makes you want to get it right. Bottom line, I can overlook some of the inconveniences as long as I can practice with the right instructors.
New sport to me, and I absolutely love it. I do avoid the peak hours so I have no complains at all, except for the female changing room, It was a little cold last time and now I have pain in my neck.
They provide free parking for 2 hours, which is just enough. Easy reachable location and the only one bikram yoga in east London.
Open few more around East please!

Fantastic staff – busy in the evenings just after the end of work, but that is to be expected at a popular venue. I aim for the less busy last sessions of the day and weekends, but busy periods are unavoidable when I want to go to some of the fantastic senior teacher classes – Richard and Sanjai for example.

I have practised Bikram yoga in the States and in other studios around London so I can say that this studio is unacceptable. The queueing at the reception desk with 4 people working behind it as very unorganised. THEY HAVE NO CONSIDERATION FOR STUDENTS BY LITERALLY CRAMMING AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE IN THE STUDIO SO YOU ARE LITERALLY AN INCH FROM EACH NEIGHBOUR; WHICH GIVEN THE HEAT MEANS THAT PEOPLE ARE SWEATING ON YOU AND YOUR TOWEL/MAT - COMPLETELY UNHYGIENIC AND LEAVES YOU NO ROOM TO DO MOST POSES AND EXTREMELY ANNOYED. The locker rooms are really really really tiny and the lockers actually only can hold ONLY your wallet and blackberry/phone. I have preferred to travel home on the tube sweaty after class than to endure the mania of trying to shower there.

Rude staff. Unaccommodating. I've been to Bikram in California for years and this doesn't compare. It's aggressive without any mindful aspects. Do not recommend.

Possibly the worst yoga experience I have ever had!
On arrival greeted from snappy disinterested reception staff whom from the looks of it would rather be else where
Tiny changing rooms with non existent air conditioning, after 90 minutes at 40 degrees the thought of going back in order to change is complete hell. This turns post relaxation mind set into complete irritation and chaos .
The worst experience is yet to come, as I realise the classroom is so tightly packed I am literally touching other yogi's back, front and side by side this being extremely claustropic and leaving all unable to complete each posture correctly.
The class felt more like meditation then Bikram yoga. Concentrating on the feeling more than the actually postures which seems pretty dangerous with so many new comers to the class. Surely the teacher should have enough floor space to show students the correct postures? although what would be the point visibility was pretty rare through the sea of sweaty bodies.
Oh and a little natural light in the studio would be an advantage the current tube lighting is too much after a day at work.
I definitely wont be back there!!!!....far better studios and far more EXPERIENCED teachers elsewhere I advise all to shop around before committing to the over priced monthly fees. I grantee there will be additional Bikram Studios popping up in all locations over London in the next year (2011) therefore competition will be higher, thus hopefully bringing down class room fees!

THis studio was terrible, the worst female changing rooms I have ever come across. Incredibly overcrowded venue which makes for an unpleasant atmosphere.

Recently I started practising at Bikram Yoga Canary Wharf, which is a large, clean, luxurious studio with an excellent vibe and first rate teachers. Surprisingly it's priced only slightly above the older/smaller studios around London and is easily worth my 50 minute commute to Canary Wharf. If you don't mind mingling with overpaid bankers and Bikram-addicted celebs, I highly recommend it. Also, they have a 2 weeks for £20 offer which pretty much makes it a no-brainer.
