Rush

Im a regular client at rush in redhill, my main stylist is Freya, the first time I went to the salon I was nervous as I'd had some bad experiences in the past. I wasn't sure what I wanted done either I just knew that I needed a total revamp, the receptionist who at the time was a dark haired young boy was lovely and sat me down with a glass of wine and some Magazines, and soon enough Freya came over to greet me, she was polite and friendly and I told her about my previous problems and that I was nervous... She asked a few questions about my hair.. Then onto what I might like done.. I was still in decisive so she stopped looked at me and said... 'Do you trust me? I've got an idea' And then she worked her magic.. We started off by just cutting it into a totally new style (which I loved) she knew exactly what would suit me... She then persuaded me to rebook and have a colour change too... I had never coloured my hair before... And now I'd never look back! I am So confident every time I go to the salon that I will be in safe hands, I let my stylist do Whatever she thinks best each time and I trust her judgement, I'm Now a loyal client every 4-6 weeks, the assistants at the salon are lovely too and the head massages are highley reccomended!!

I have been going to the Rush salon in Redhill for around two years now. I am always made to feel welcome as the staff are all so friendly and approachable.
My usual stylist is Freya and I feel she really listens to my ideas and we spend a fair amount of time talking about what cut or colour will suit me best. She alway uses her expert knowledge to explain exactly why a particular cut would be great or if a colour may not work so well. I feel really confident that I'm going to receive the cut we have discussed and that the result will be great. I have had terrible hairdressing experiences before where I have ended up with a style I felt did not match what I had asked for. Fortunately this never happens at Rush!

I'm so happy with the service provided by Rush and trust Freya's judgement that I have begun to take my two daughters to have their hair cut there too. They are aged 5 and 10 and now absolutely love going to the hairdressers. It's a real treat for them!!

I didn't think a high end salon would be so welcoming of children but once again I have only praise for the lovely staff at Redhill.
I would highly recommend their services.

I've been a dedicated fan of Rush for almost 10 years. First discovered the Sutton salon and then after moving to Purley, moved to Rush in Croydon. It seems whichever salon you go to, the welcome is consistently great and always effortless - never staged.
I go to Rush in Redhill now, as my stylist 'Simon' who originally worked at the Croydon salon opened and now manages Rush in Redhill.
Everyone there maintains a high standard when it comes down to customer care and tlc....hence why I'd NEVER ever consider going anywhere else. Also not forgetting the amazing style and cut by Simon. This guy knows his stuff!!
Can't fault Rush in Redhill! Their stylists are busy and in demand for only one reason...because they know what their customers wants and how to make you feel great.

If I'd been writing this review, this time last year, Rush would have got 5 stars. I had a great stylist and couldn't fault the service. However, earlier this year my great stylist left and since then I have had my haircut by 4 different people (even though I have rebooked with the same stylist each time!) and got 4 different and not great haircuts. Why keep going back? I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and thought I'd be able to talk to them about how it was cut last time and how I'd like it done this time and to be honest, it's just round the corner from work so I could get my haircut at lunch time but they very rarely run their appointments on time so sometimes I was late back! (though some stylists are worse than others) I have just had my haircut there today and it's an okay cut but not brilliant and for £50 it's just not good enough. I won't be back.... On the hunt for a new salon after 3yrs :(

I had a promotional offer for Rush in Redhill and decided it was time for a haircut! (as one does)

Was pleasantly meant at the counter by a friendly and polite young woman who offered me a beverage and to sit down and wait for the stylist.

The stylist, Simon, was really lovely. Shook my hand and introduced himself, which personally, I think is incredibly important. There isn't anything worse than sitting for an hour with somebody fiddling with ones hair who hasn't bothered to even introduce themselves!

He studied my face and hair deciding that I had a lovely neck (Oh the blushing!) and would suit taking my hair very short at the back of my head. We discussed a few ideas and I was satisfied that we had covered what he felt would suit and what I would prefer.

I was introduced to a woman (who's name I can't remember, I apologise) who washed my hair. She wasn't too rough and I was impressed that she bothered to lift up my head to make sure the hair at my neck was also clean (not that I don't wash my hair.) I had a treatment run through it and explained what it was, what it would do and how often I should have my hair treated this way. All very informative.

Back in the seat, I was seen to within moments and Simon was incredibly chatty and friendly. I enjoyed the banter and felt at ease and less nervous about the outcome of my hair.

Apart from a brief poke in the eye, which was probably one of the funniest things that has ever happened to me in a hairdressers, I was very happy with the end result of my hair. I felt he had listened to me, had highlighted my best features and provided me with a service that made me feel special and worth the effort!

I was very pleased with the outcome and impressed with the lovely people here. I would recommend and would go again. In fact I think I'm booked in for early September :)
