Compliment Joanna_Bean (23-05-2008) ••••

My bus goes past both branches of this new chain of indonesian, japanese, chinese, thai and malasian influenced fast food company. The shop front is bold, attractive and inviting and I will happily admit that the name always made me smile :) So I was glad to finally have an excuse to try it out recently when we needed some decent food but didn’t have enough time to sit down in a restaurant. It was quiet and no-one else came in to order while we waited for our food to be prepared. You can either takeaway or eat in, they have a few seats. There is a wide selection to choose from, and the usual contenders are all there… nasi goreng, spring rolls, teryaki beef. The mains cost about £5 and they do a meal deal for 2; 2 x main dishes, 2 x side dishes and 2 drinks - all for £12.50… pretty good deal. The food came in those white food cartons with handles and they were stuffed full and overflowing, I was full by the time I was level with the top of the carton! We couldn’t eat it all by any means and the spring rolls were deep fried, making it all slightly greasy, but no more than the usual asian cuisine… Describing this place as a fast food outlet would be pushing it, the whole visit probably took 30 minutes, but still quicker than a proper restaurant and everything is cooked to order, which is grand in my opinion… Will definitely go back, would order less food next time tho :)
