Wandered in here on Saturday past about 4pm hoping to get a bit of late breakfast or early dinner but things were clearly winding to a close despite the sandwich board outside proclaiming proper food being available till 17:30. Scones & cake weren’t what we were after so just stayed for a pleasant cuppa instead. Can’t fault the service or prices but they maybe want to be clearer about when they are or aren’t serving full meals.
Came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast and was really happy with the whole experience. Friendly staff, good music, good sized and delicious portions at a reasonable price and great toilet facilities (which you don’t often find).

Everyone from my work seems to go here and I kept meaning to go but could never find it.. Tucked away on coburg street and only open during the day it is a little treasure once you eventually find it. Nice menu and very well aimed towards people with children and babies, it has the best baby changing room Ive ever seen in a cafe or restaurant and the kids menu is ace.. Things like fish finger sandwiches love it.
I had the fishcakes that came with salad and coleslaw - which you cold get in entree or main size which was the case with most of the meals.. It was gorgeous! A good amount of seating, friendly staff and a lovely spot to sit on a sunny day - we were right next to the window and I actually walked out with a little bit of a tan on my arm. Lovely !

Water of Leith Cafe Bistro.
This little gem of a cafe is on the site of many previous ventures in the food line! It is only open at lunchtime.
Its decor is fresh clean and airy!
There is a tiny kitchen and it is constantly busy!
We opted for Croque Madame and Fish Cakes from the normal menu but there is a board with specials and a 2 or 3 course meal deal
The food was tasty and the portions were generous.
There is a great choice of desserts and all cakes are home made. Licenced to sell alcohol.
Service was with a smile!
