If Amelie is your thing, then it’s worth a visit, but otherwise A very average Café. Overpriced and too full of tourists to really relax in!

The Atmospähre is nevertheless as in the film. To sit wonderful there, a Pastis drinking, after one is relaxed walking by Montmartre before.

A beautiful little cafe with an even more beautiful vantage point. An excellent place to sip on a cafe or glass of beer.

“Les 2 Moulins” was a bar-brewery which was more in the area at the bottom of the Rue Lepic. A loyal customer base attested to the social role of the place. The patrons were the bosses, after all, causing more than some-but attention, as it is in Marseilles, eh!
And then the cinema and theatre director Jean-Pierre Jeunet made our coffee-tobacco, instead of the film “Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amelie Poulain” (2001) to phenomenal success.
Audrey Tautou became the seveuse worship.
But time has passed and “le 2 Moulins” has maintained its rank and not lose your head. Proof: coffee is 2 €! It is still a note!
the place has remained with his charm before, including its brass and his look of Parisian cafe.

On your to do list for a trip to Paris there is of course the visit of the famous coffeehouse from the movie “Amelie of Montmartre”. But you have to know that it was in that movie as many changes have been made to it for the making of the film.

Nevertheless the coffeehouse is nicely located and serves the typical Parisian dishes which are great not too expensive.

Definitely not a tourist trap.
