Mangiamo

Every time i’ve been here I wouldn’t say i’ve enjoyed it. I first went here when it was the Olive Tree Greek restaurant, and couldn’t fault it. Then it seemed to change hands, and has gone downhill ever since. we try it on occasions when friends have birthdays or other occasions there, saying ‘it can only get better’ but sadly for us it hasn’t. The decor is nice the staff are friendly, but portions are a bit on the small side for the price you pay to what they used to be. COME ON Manjgiamo’s get your act together.

I love this place the food staff and location are brill if i dont go for regular meals there i have withdraw symptoms and christmas dinner there is 1st class

Have eaten here a few times over the years.. always feel rushed but cabt complain over the quality of the food. Its always busy so guess they are doing something right!

Charming, low-key setting just off Bolton Rd. I can’t really fault this place.
It does everything well - but not outstandingly well. A friendly sort of place, popular with the locals prone to being serenaded by La Dolce Vita (and given the hard working nature of the folk here, boy do they deserve it).
My one gripe will be its lack of regional variety -a lot of the dishes are very red and “tomato-esque” and do not explore the rich culture of Italian cuisine.
But perhaps I’m being a tad over-critical - like being invited to eat at your auntie’s and complaining that she didn’t cook absolutely everything you wanted.
After all, the dishes may be unadventurous, but at least they are cooked to order and well presented.
It’s hard to pick holes in a place that is reliable and offers decent food and treats you like family.
Service is always with a smile, served by handsome Cristiano Ronaldo types, well dressed and generous with the parmesan and pepper (and infinitely less arrogant).
I did like the dessert selection - an ecclectic choice that draws its inspiration from all over the world. In the end it was a toss-up between the Pavlova and the traditional home-made apple crumble (I settled for the latter). Delicious.
In summary, decent but unspectacular. Its motto would be “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
A pleasant culinary experience.
