you have never come to see me, Raun, at the bar. Try it some time. Let me know you have been here before and not been 100% satisfied. you have to be there when i’m there and let me know you are re-trying. but i think it’s worth it.

Delicious seafood, disappointing deserts and slow service.

I’ve been to this location of McCormick and Schmick’s a couple of times: once for lunch and once for drinks after work. Both times we sat outside on the large patio in front of the restaurant. I like the patio a lot: it’s spacious and set back a decent distance from the street. (I hate sitting outside when you can actually feel the cars whizzing by!) Lunch was fair: I ordered a cheeseburger that was okay, but nothing special (a bit on the dry side, which is interesting because I order mine medium rare). Drinks were also good….we didn’t have any food when we visited for drinks, so I can’t comment on the happy hour food specials.
I give McCormick and Schmick’s just three stars for two reasons. First, I think it’s a bit pricey for the quality of food. Second, both times I was there our service was just mediocore. In addition to slow service by the waiters, both times we had a wait quite a while for our check after asking for it. This was especially a problem during lunch, when we all had to go back to work.
I did enjoy the location, and will probably go back for drinks when the mood and weather is right!

This is a great spot for after work with $2 hamburgers (3:30 - 6:30) and other great happy hour food specials. The drinks are on the high side, but if you stick to cola or beer - you have a nice little after work meal.
The dining area is nice and quiet with good service. You can’t beat that flaky, crispy bread with real butter which comes with every meal in the dining area. The roasted pecan and goat cheese salad is a good starter and their buffalo BBQ chicken sandwich was throughly enjoyable.
To top it off, the main bar is a really great place to sit and chat. Solid woods and ornate carving with stained glass - puts me back into a great time which I didn’t live. I guess I am a sucker for feeling like I’m in the 1930’s?
Hint: If you are looking for a drink adventure, take a peek at their “Antique Cocktail Menu”.
