I went to this restaurant on a groupon voucher which was 2 meals for £10.50 which I though was great. On the deal you could only get two plates but for that we were happy. We were welcomed with a smile as we arrived and shown to our table. Shortly after being seated our drink orders were taken and we then went up to get our food. We were served and as the staff was serving us they were explaining what all the dishes which was a good idea as I would not have known what so so run down was. We finished the first plate which was lovely but could not go up for a second as we were full and didn’t even have space for dessert. The staff were pleasant and very attentive. We will be going back and would reccommend it to anyone.
Had been looking forward to trying out this place for ages but what a let-down! The service was absolutely abysmal – two waiters to the whole restaurant which made it very hard to order anything unless one went to the bar area. The waiter we had very much needed training! The finished plates were scraped at the table in front of us which meant a fair amount of half-eaten rice actually went into my lap. We were not made to feel welcome during our stay at the restaurant and constantly reminded that only two plates of food were allowed. I understand about not wanting to waste food but there really is no need to constantly push this message down our throats! All food was portioned out onto our plates as if we were at school and remarks were even made to a couple of my fellow diners that they maybe had too much food anyway! This is a shame as the food itself was really rather nice and I had wanted the idea of this place to do really well. I will NOT be returning to this restaurant and will definitely be sticking to the other many wonderful Caribbean Take-Aways that already do business in Birmingham.

This is the first time we tried a Caribbean restaurant. We went on Saturday the 25th of September at 3pm. We had pre-booked the table as advised but this did not prove necessary. It was a lunchtime offer of all you can eat for £6.00. The selection was limited. There would have been enough choice for a taste of the Caribbean except some portions were empty and were slow on getting re-filled. We tried Jerk Chicken, Beef Stew and Caribbean Fish. We also tasted the Curry Chicken. All the food was nicely cooked. There was all so a good selection of soft drinks and juices. I had Red Stripe Larger and the wife tried the Guinness Punch which was a cocktail of Guinness and Milk which was really tasty. We were not rushed and the staff were pleasant at all times. The decor looked a bit tired. The Cuizene also has a weigh and take-away food service which is a great idea. The price for the choice was disappointing.
