Peaslake Village Stores & Post Office, Peaslake, Guildford

If you’re mountain biking (or road biking) in the surrey hills area, this is a wonderful wonderful shop. Rounds of piping tea, incredible home-made cakes, pasties and pastries, some quite up market deli stuff and some down market doughnuts and things called “yum-yums” for the likes of me. The greatest thing has to be the atmosphere: irrespective of how much mud I am caked in there’s always a friendly welcome and the even the local like to chat and chit. So if you’re heading down of barry knows best, The alpine forest, rollercoaster, in search of golden birdies, telegraph, yogurt pots, parklife etc etc etc be sure to call in.
