Kosmos cinema opened its doors to the public March 10, 1964 and started to lure the audiences with the hall that had almost 1000 seats. Kosmos was also the movie theater to show the first film that was ever distributed by MPDE (now FORUM CINEMAS) in Estonia - “Hot Shots!”in March 1993.
For years, Kosmos was the movie theater which showed all the latest films from Hollywood and elsewhere and after continuous repairs and modifications, it became a top of the line cinema, equipped with modern technology and comfortable seats. Due to the demands of the consumer and the growing number of films, yet another screen was built into the lobby of Kosmos in the year of 1995. The new hall with 136 seats enabled the movie theater to offer more films to the movie going public.
