A cafe in a wonderful medieval building on a bridge, also medieval. It spans the “Glory Hole”
Good wholesome food, tea, coffee, palets of cream cakes. Good old fashioned cafe with interesting views.
Also a shop selling tea and coffee.
Their ad:
Stokes of Lincoln is a family business established in 1902, specialising in freshly roasted coffees and fine teas.
From our early days we have occupied the fine sixteenth century half-timbered building on the mediaeval High Bridge, which spans the river Witham in the centre of Lincoln. You can sit at the leaded windows in the restaurant above the shop and enjoy your Morning coffee, Luncheon or perhaps Afternoon or High tea whilst watching the people, the boats and of course, the swans below.
We offer an extensive menu as well as well stocked shop selling fine quality teas, coffees and accessories.
