A new bar and restaurant in Reading. Set out on two floors, the lower one is the restaurant, with a small bar and waiting area, the upper is a bar with seating for about 60 people and a gallery window looking across at broad street mall.

The food is a modern mix of tapas, thai, italian, and grill. My party went for a selection across the menu, and all was very good. The starters were generous and the mains good - the unusual thai pizzas are worth a go and the duck panang was excellent. The house red is a pleasant merlot, and the Lemongrass Wokka was a very tasty cocktail. Cobra is on tap, otherwise it’s bottles. The staff are friendly and sharp. Starters are around £5, mains from £8, wine starts at £12 the bottle, and cocktails about £6.

This is a place to check out right now; and it’ll be worth seeing how it develops. I hope it stays as it is a worthy addition to the Reading scene.
