This branch is very conveniently located just across from the tube station.

It’s a good place to stop by to get a cheap sandwich or something. It’s a pretty small branch of Sainsburys and not laid out that well, but it does the job as a 'metro’ type place!

It’s always been really packed when I’ve been in though and I think they could do with opening some more tills at peak time!

There’s a cash machine outside which is handy when the one in Holborn station is broken too!

Overall, does the job of bringing supermarket value to a convenient place in central London!

Nice little store cited near the Sainsbury’s HQ, staff friendly and helpful and a good range of products, considering it’s a convience store. I’d say the aesthetics could be better as it felt a little cramped sometimes with such a low ceiling. Aside from that it’s a nice enough store and in a very handy location.

A good selection of items and stock moves fast so there is a good turn over of items, allowing seasonal goods. Prices are good, but they often do not honour the offers seen in larger stores. They do have hot take away food- including some lovely curries, jacket potatoes and chicken, as well as a salad bar. My low score is due to the fact that this store is always packed. I think it is very busy, but all tills are never open, despite 25+ people in each queue. The queues often put me off coming here and it is busy till late too.

Conveniently located on the corner of Kingsway and High Holborn, opposite Holborn tube, this branch is definitely aimed at catching the commuting hoards. As such it has a large range of ready meals and ready to eat stuff, including sandwiches and salads. They even have a salad bar, which I haven’t generally seen in Sainsbury. It’s a fair sized branch, so the general range is pretty good too.

On the downside it does have a bit of a dingy feel. Look up and you’ll see a high ceiling with breeze block walls and industrial ventilation snaking about. It is sort of interesting if you like that kind of thing, but I do wonder if most visitors would find a nice clean white false ceiling more pleasant…
