Make sure you stop by here if you are a TOURIST!!!

Had the great pleasure of visiting Ireland this wkend and went in search of Cubans for after the Football game. I travel a lot for work, so I've been in my fair share of cigar establishments, but have to say I was blown away by this place. As soon as I went in the door I was greeted with a Cuban espresso (a nice touch which was very tasty :) )  and then the friendly young guy who served me couldn't have been more helpful. The selection is impressive and all the cigars seem to be in peak condition. The assistant helped me pick out a nice selection of smokes and then gave me some great tips on places to visit in Dublin. My only criticism is that you can't smoke in the store, but went to a bar around the corner and enjoyed my Monte #2 with some buddies over a Guinness- heaven! If you are serious about your cigars make sure you stop by this place.

Beware if your a tourist!!!

Visited this joint last week as I was in Dublin for a Wedding.  I was best man so I decided to purchase some cigars for the wedding party. After seeing an array of cigars I picked out some Cohiba Silgo N°1 and paid €99. A little while up the road my GF asked what excatly had bought and it dawned on us that I had been overcharged and should have paid €68 and my reciept had no details of what I had bought just €99 on it.

Couldnt return back to the shop as I was due to go to a rehersal, but knew that the next day the reception was in a hotel on St Stephens Green 2 minutes away.

Returned next day spoke to a different shop assistant who called the manager. The manager asked who sold them to me and when I described him the manager shouted to the shop assistan across the shop. He and the shop assistant in question made a joke of it. My money was refunded but without an apology.

Sadly for the 'Decent' Cigar Emporium I may not sound local but am not totally foreign.

PS. Cigars were covered in bloom, so to boot there storage looks impressive but isnt very good.

    Dear Barry,

Many thanks for posting your feedback.

Unfortunately we are human and make mistakes. You were overcharged by accident but were refunded with no argument. Having handed you your refund myself I know an apology was made, but I will again apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We pride ourselves on offering a first class service that you just won’t find in any other shop. As soon as a customer walks through the door they are offered a cup of Cuban espresso and are free to ask the staff any questions.

I hope the next time you are in town you will feel free to drop by and we can better endeavour to provide you with a first class service.

    Kind regards,

    Paul Murphy

PS. Bloom is a sign of good ageing. If your cigars had mould we would have gladly replaced the cigars, no quibble.

If you have any other queries or issues please feel free to contact us on +353 1 6716451 or info@decent-cigar.com

Dude, If your cigars had bloom on them you are very lucky; that’s a good thing!!!!!
Bloom only happens when a cigar is stored in perfect conditions.
