The renovated brewery buildings make an excellent art space in a trendy part of town. I’ve seen Bodyworks (the plasticated corpses displayed by Professor Gunter von Hagens) on one side, and recently seen new-graduates’ exhibit Free Range on the other side. The rooms are huge, warehouse-sized, and make it easy to wander around. The roughness of the loft-style rooms, and their proximity to the markets, music shops, vintage clothing, and bars of the Brick Lane area fit the vibe perfectly. Go see what’s on!

It’s fantastic here. Currently being used for the Free Range exhibition, it’s one of the best ‘spaces’ in East London. The free range show spans over the next two months and is well worth the trip as there is so much going on - the exhibitions change each week too which is fun. My arty side is going to be very happy in the coming months.
As for the other stuff, well pop down on Sunday and you’ll find the upmarket. Which is a pretty cool pace to hang out. It’s very ‘Brick lane’ so expect vintage stuff and people that are far cooler than you. There’s always a lot of food being sold. I actually do prefer it to Spitalfields, it seems to have a nicer vibe. Less tourists too.
There’s lots of other stuff going on throughout the year and loads of different buildings that are all part of the same company. Go. EXPLORE. You’ll have a great time.
