New India Gate

We have visited 5 or 6 times in the past 2 years and I have to say the service and food quality is spot on.. Plates are hot and the beer is cold.
This restaurant is a lot better than many back in the UK.
Friendly atmosphere and I would recommend it.

We went here on a Sunday lunch August 2010. Although there is a children’s menu, ours (age: 6 & 8) like to eat off the main menu as they like curries. The restaurant accommodated by doing half portions.

I went for a Chicken Karahi, it was nice, but I wish I’d been a bit more adventurous with a more spicy dish. They do a Phall!

The New Indian Gate restaurant in Orba offers all the usual traditional Indian dishes at extremely reasonable prices. Set just outside Orba, next to the petrol station, you can enjoy all your favourite Indian dishes whilst taking in the spectacular rural mountain views.

With new owners in April 2009. Friendly staff.

Takeaways are also available. The venue can be hired for private events, such as birthday parties, weddings, corporate events or family get-togethers, and can cater for up to 90 guests. Special discount available for club & society events.

Dining can be enjoyed either inside or on the terrace. Some dishes are allergy friendly, low carb and vegetarian. Children are welcome and there is a children’s menu.

The restaurant has its own parking and is very easy to find, just at the entrance to Orba.

Located next to the petrol station at the entrance to Orba (coming from Alcalalí).

Open every day from 12.00pm – 4pm and from 6.00pm – midnight.
