Really poor attitude from the staff, even to my Chinese friend (this is a bit typical of slightly arrogant London Chinese as opposed to true mainland Chinese). Loads of large empty tables with ‘reserved’ signs on them at 7.45 in the evening. My friend and I wanted something bigger than the tiny tables for two that they have, but were told that the small back section of the restaurant was not available to us as ‘it has to be closed by 8.00 pm’. I have no idea why; it’s not even as though they have to run around doing table service? We were so disappointed with the attitude that we took our money back and ate in another buffet a little way down the road. The food in these places is only average at best anyway, and quite often distinctly worse, although the review writers here seem to think it unreasonable to expect any better for a fiver. There are some amazing Chinese buffet restaurants in the UK, but the ones in this street are not amongst them.
Absolute delicious chinese buffet which is presented in an excellent fashion but has an affordable price on it. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food is excellent for the price you paid for it. Recommended for a nice chinese lunch if you don’t want to spend £5

This restaurant looks small from the outside but it’s actually quite spacious. Upon entering the restaurant, a loud lady greets you and quickly ask you how many people will be eating today. You pay for your meals and drinks and grab a table and then it’s up to you to stuff yourself without wasting food. We were there for half an hour digging away and during that time we saw tonnes of tables being filled and emptied, so a large amount of people in Croydon go through those doors, especially on weekends.
Their food wasn’t the best I ever had but it wasn’t bad, was ok to my standards. My partner loved it, guess it’s up to you to go there and see for yourself. What else do you expect for less than a fiver?

This was one of the first buffets I went to. Amazing! It is incredible that for less than £5, you can eat as much as you want, choosing from many dishes too. The spring rolls were my favourite and the stir fries. One thing that really struck me was that there was as much vegetable food as well as there was the animal -based food - really exciting. I cannot help but smile when passing by this restaurant and at the same time reminising on the pleasures of having a very rich buffet. Hmmm…delicious…
