A sign of a good fish place is always that it doesn’t smell of fish. Sure when you get up close to the fish you get their scent, but the place is cleaned so rigorously every day, that it doesn’t have the pungent smell some similar places seem to have.
I’ve only had the takeaway lunch options from here, but their prices have risen sharply in the past year or so, now approximately £2 more than they used to be. They taste really good though, although you’re restricted to a choice of two or three wraps each with a different type of fish.

We went here one night as we couldn’t get a table for love nor money at Brindisa round the corner (nothing new there). It was a surprising place, the fish dishes were obviously very fresh indeed and the quality was great. The battered fish was a highlight, a lovely light crisp batter. Some of the other dishes didn’t quite live up to their price tags, I think they are trading on their location right on the side of the market to a certain degree, but it is still worth a visit if you are a fish fan.

Great Seafood Restaurant in the back of the fishmongers. Very fresh fish, found the pasta dishes ‘wanting and overpriced’ but the actual fish dishes are very tasty and good value. Attentive service and good atmosphere.
