Smoke Bar Diner

I've got to be honest....wasn't blown awaqy by this place, a strange bunch congregated in the corner (and although this couldnt be helped I suppose, it didnt help that the bar staff seemed to be talking to them...rather loudly!)

didn't enjoy the experience...won't be going there again! 

I have been going there for over a year now almost twice a week. My volleyball club has a really great partnership with them. We train and have all our national games in Ernest Bevin, a school nearby. So as we were going for a pint there after training anyway, we decided to make this bar our volleyball local! We have all our club social evenings there, they provide food for us after our home games on saturdays as well and in exchange we bring the volleyball crowd!

It's a nice enough looking bar. Staff has always been very friendly with us, food is good for nibbles but average if you go for a proper meal and they also have a range of cocktails to choose from. Dj at the weekend if you want to shake it on the dancefloor and nice small areas that you can book for birthdays or any kind of parties.

Oh what a disappointment. Went yesterday for Sunday roast, the place was deserted and freezing at 1530 on a Sunday! It was fairly stinky and dirty from the night before and totally unwelcoming.
Four of us ordered food at 1600 and had to wait until 1645 until it arrived, there was no apology or reason for it as we were the only ones eating.
The two members of staff, clearly feeling the effects of a late Saturday night were friendly enough but clearly uninterested.
Enough said.

very small and cosy and the staff and owner are lovely. Very living roomy and good for casual few int he week and also for hiring areas for parties. DJ and dancefloor at the weekedn with late license so really goof fun. House wine lovely and great cocktails too. Really close to tube and kebab house next door for way home!
