Pianos is a decent hangout on the lower-east side. Depending on what time you go, you never know what you’ll get. During the daytime, it is a great place to go for a tasty late afternoon chill with a couple of drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.
At night, it becomes a busy (sometimes packed) bar with 3 sections. The main part of the bar is usually packed like sardines on weekend nights but has good drinks. In the back is an acoustically separated room where you can hear up-and-coming bands. Upstairs is a lounge atmosphere where there are sometimes DJs and the vibe is a bit different from the other 2 rooms. There is plenty more to do in the neighborhood as well.
