This jewellery designer’s been getting quite a lot of press recently - it’s amazing what happens when Kate Moss steps out wearing one of your necklaces.

Anna Lou will probably appeal to people who like the quirky style of Tatty Devine, Punky Pins and so on. Though there’s othr stuff on offer, Anna Lou’s known for her funky perspex pieces; the initial necklace Kate wore, big plastic bunnies and ice creams on chains and my fave retro 50s style glasses that hang around the neck. They’re all affordable too, with most pieces in the £20 - £30 price range.

What’s great about the store is the small-and-friendly feel, the fact you may well buy your piece from the lady herself, and the location - smack bang in the middle of the Carnaby shopping district. It may not be the way it was in the Swinging Sixties, but it’s definitely getting cooler by the second.
