Crosby Lodge Country House Hotel

The food at Crosby Lodge is divine. Eating at the Lodge is an experience in itself. You feel as if you are having dinner at the manor house. After pre-dinner drinks in the lounge where you choose from the menu, you are invited to the dining room when your starters are ready. The decor is a sumptuous res with mahoganny tables. The staff are friendly and polite and you are often greeted if bot served at some point by the lady of the house. Good local produce is served with home made bread. I have yet to have a disappointing meal there and the dessert trolley is a highlight. The only downside is choosing what to have as it is all just so delicious. It is also a great place for afternoon tea.
