Staff are always happy and there are a lot of them so even at busy times the service is swift.
Excellent butchers. Expensive but the meat is really good quality and locally sourced. They also do some good deals where you can get 6 things for £20 (like a pound of bacon, dozen eggs, chicken breasts etc.) which is great value. Great to still have a proper local butchers in town given that so many have closed because of the supermarkets.

Meat is avergage as butchers go, very expensive, I was asked for £16 for two average sirloin steaks that were not that brilliant

A popular butchers, I think they are the best in town. We have been to many butchers but the quality of the meat is better and they can advise you on how to cook it to its best. The staff are always friendly. They do meat packages at Christmas where you can order sausages,beef, turkey etc at a cheap price. We have had our meat from this butcher at Christmas and it had a very high standard. They are always my first choice.

It’s the best old fashioned butcher in town.
You pay at a seperate counter and the butchers are the nicest people I’ve ever met (honestly!). They are full of advice if required or just general chat to brighten your day.
The meat is also very good and their own home made Bacon and Cheese pies are fantastic.

a well turned out butcher shop. I’m not that much of a meat eater but these place makes my just want to go in and browse.
