Review of Steers from 21 November 2010

As a South African living in London, no trip home is complete without a visit to Steers. They stay open till late into the night and they have the best chips I've tasted so far. From the Rave burger to the Double King Burger, they are my favourite fast food take-away burger joint.

If you are in South Africa you have to go to Steers, they are littered around everywhere so it shouldn’t be too hard. They have the best burger and chips in the country and maybe even the world!!! Pure flame grilled beef patties with a wide variety of toppings and sauces, I find it really difficult to choose cause they are all so good, the standouts are the King Steer burger, the Double Cheese burger and the Avo and bacon burger. The chips are equally delicious, try them with some special Steers seasoning and their delicious BBQ sauce - you will be addicted! This is good quality fast food I really wish they would open one in London!

Best vegetarian burgers from a fast food place that I’ve ever tasted in the USA, UK and SA. Also the yummiest chips!

I love Steers! Really pleased to discover this on Qype.

I used to spend alot of time in Cape Town and Steers was always a late night fast food place my younger brother and I would hit in the early hours. Great burgers, greasy chips and special sauce to die for. Lovely jubbly!

Review of Steers from 9 June 2008

Best takeout burgers in SA - fact. These 100% pure beef patties are flame-grilled and coddled in good quality ingredients and sauces that many men have lost their lives trying to recreate.

There are combo meals and deals to keep everyone sattisfied and Steers really gets around - with a Steers franchise somewhere near you, in South Africa of course.

Years ago they introduced Wacky Wednesdays where two special burgers were the price of one. They get imaginative with new concoctions but I like the good old King Steer burger with cheese and double patties. Don’t forget to get a side of their famous chips with Steers seasoning (guarenteed to give you enough MSG to make you glow). A burger’s around R20, a meal around R30-R40. Not bad at R13 to the pound but remember earnings are lower there.
Far better than Maccy’s and better value for cash, you must grab a Steers burger when you’re out there.

hearsay

letshaga MY daughters visited their grand parents, in Pretoria and the thing they miss most is a steer burger. Apparently they have no comparison in the US. These comment were coming from my picky daughter, so I am convinced.

Vishay and remember, Wacky Wednes starts at a minute after 12 on Tuesday night! Brilliant!
