Give this place a try - good place to visit if you are on a bike ride to stop and have a relaxing stop - or if you want to chillax with a wine or coffee .
great local pub. i have not been for a while but will be going this weekend. nice selection of drinks. great for a party venue of meeting friends for a drink or two

Great lcation especially in the summer. We quite often go after work and always get a friendly welcome. Food is the normal pub food but its always hot and tasty. The staff are brilliant they let us phone in our food order if we go at lunch time so its ready for when we get there!!. Beautiful location to sit in the garden, but really cosy in the pub in the winter. They have quiz nights on a regulay basis with food or beer as the prizes. Great night out.

The Sump is a beautiful pub in Winshill next to the river so it’s very peaceful and relaxing in the outside seating area which is very spacious and comfortable.
They hold quiz evenings and serve food, which makes is a fun place to go with your friends or family for a afternoon or evening out.
Very popular with people of all ages. You can also have a bit of a history lesson as it’s very close to the old mills!

great place to meet for drinks with friends before making your way in burton town, lovely atmosphere, nice and cosy and a warm welcome. overlooking the river trent which is beautiful in the summer.
