It looks really romance, If anyone has a partner, you should come to enjoy it. I also wish to come there with my partner.
Some places just make you feel good, and this is one of them.
Greeted like old friends, the fact that they had no record of our booking was not an issue and we were seated at a lovely table with low lighting and talked through the menu.
Unsurprisingly, pretty much all of the dishes involves pig in some shape or form (apparently, even some of the desserts), and it would be rude not to go the whole hog (sorry) and try them.
My, they do pork well.
They also do service well, and we were happy to see kids’ piggy sketches adording one of the walls as we left.
PIGcredible. We’ll be back (bacon).

My husband and I had a lovely meal in there yesterday evening.I had lovely chilli prawns followed by slow roast pork and my husband had the smoked salmon and pork fillet and shared lovely profiteroles also we had freshly baked warm bread. We went via a 'Groupon' offer and it was well worth it as we had a bottle of wine included in the offer.
Also they did not take the 'mick' with the service charge unlike some places,so we left a bigger tip.
The staff were delightful and the setting is lovely.
Would go again for sure.

It's new(ish) it's huge and it breaks up an otherwise barren stretch of Aldersgate Street across from fortress Barbican. Uber busy before xmas a friend and I had lunch on a wet Tuesday in January in an almost empty room. It is quite cleverly laid out and divided up so the few tables that were occupied were close and so it felt quite buzzy and welcoming.
With a name like the English Pig had to be the pork roll - what arrived was a pumpkin seeded bap filled with delightfully toothsome slow roasted belly pork, simply gorgeous. Not a fan of the salad 'garnsih' but the skinny fries were good. My friend had sausage and mash - also good and damned fine mash.
Service is friendly, prices are good, worth a look.
