Hackney Police Station, Hackney, London

I recently visited for some paperwork relating to a new job, so nothing nasty! This station has quite imposing stone steps to go up. Inside there’s a rather small entrance hall with a couple of seats, a few leaflets and a counter. I couldn’t see any sign of a bell to call help, but it wasn’t long before a volunteer came to take my enquiry. It was quickly and competently dealt with, and I was off… just as an elderly lady came in and was greeted as a friend by the volunteer. A regular it seems.

Overall, I was a bit nervous going in, but found I didn’t have to worry at all. Very friendly.

(NB the location is currently slightly wrong. It’s on the main/yellow road just North/Up, next to the Church).
