Masons Arms

I previously reviewed the Masons Arms and described it as my favourite pub in Warkworth and gave it 5 stars. However, I have returned on numerous occasions since and have completely changed my mind. Our last visit was the final straw, if I was being generous I would describe the service as impersonal, unsmiling and not particularly welcoming but if I was being completely honest I would have to describe it as unpleasant if not downright offensive. To be completely fair, the younger members of staff are cheerful, friendly and professional, unfortunately we weren’t served by them on our last couple of visits. I won’t be returning.

Here, here! We are staying in a cottage just around the corner from the Masons Arms - stuck in the snow! Even though they had stopped serving food by 3pm our request for fish and chips was obliged and it was delicious - beer battered cod and double fried hand cut chips washed down with mulled cider - fantastic!! We're here for a few more days and will be in there again!
