I recently had PGS services visit my home to investigate a suspected gas leak.  I was called by the service centre and informed that the engineer was on his way and given an arrival time of about 45 mins. I was also given his name.  He arrived over an hour later but it was no big deal.  once arrived he quickly went to work testing the gas supply and checking the fire.  unable to find a leak he checked again and again found no leak.  I thought £126.00 was expensive for 30 mins or so in the house doing tests that in the end required no work (it would still have been the same price for the first hour of work) but on the flip side I had piece of mind and had my gas supply restored after Transco had turned it off.  Since then I have had no further problems.  The engineer came across as friendly and knowledgeable and I would have no problems calling PGS in the future

We called PGS as we had a bug problem in our bedrooms.
 The initial phone contact was very positive and helpful and the quote competitively priced so we went ahead and booked the service. 
The operative arrived on time, was very knowledgable about his field of expertise and generally inspired confidence.
We are happy with the result as our bug problem at this stage appears to have been solved.

Shocking service. I hired PGS to replace a water cylinder and heating element in my flat in Maida Vale. They could come the next day, hence I agreed to their very expensive quote. They promised (and charged for) a like-for-like cylinder, but installed one that was much smaller - it has to be heated several times a day for sufficient water for two people. Within two days, the cylinder had begun leaking in to the flat below. PGS came back to repair but in doing so, bent a pipe, meaning no water was coming from the bathroom taps. The following day, when I called to ask them to return and fix it, they tried to charge me for a visit. They eventually came, grudgingly, for free.

13 months later, the heating element had blown. It was out of guarantee and they quoted to replace it, plus up to two hours of labour costs. They blamed limescale, even though the previous element had not blown in almost 20 years. I called another electrician, who said they had installed a faulty element. He replaced and repaired it within half an hour.

PGS admitted a copper element was standard, but that they had used a cheaper one as it was "more cost effective". I wouldn't recommend them - certainly not in London - and I would never have one of their engineers back at my property.

First we were visited from Tom of PGS who undertook a thorough assessment of the property and the communal loft - something which our other two previous assessors did not deem necessary - he took more than one hour over the assessment and explained everything he proposed in detail. A quote for the work (with price and installation options) followed the same day. We went with this, rather then the other two competitors. The workers arrived as per spec and undertook the duties in a prompt and correct and friendly fashion over the two days the installation.It was a high quality service offered at all times. We were also contacted after to ask that we were happy with the work, which e were. I have no hesitation n recommending PGF and we will use them again in the future should an opportunity arise.

I've been uising PGS Services for a couple of years for Gas Certificate and they have been doing a good job everytime. They have taken care of setting up the meetings with the tennants; where further work was needed they sorted everything out quickly. I would recommend them and will continue to use them.

Our old boiler broke down over a weekend and PGS had the most reasonable price for qualified/certified repair engineers I could find online. Tony came within an hour of me calling PGS to assess the situation. Unfortunately, as it was a very old boiler, the required pump was unavailable until Monday. He wrote us a quotation for the pump for replacement and also (upon our request) another quote for a full boiler replacement. On Monday morning we called PGS to tell them we wanted a full replacement. Their quotes team emailed us a quotation of what we wanted. The earliest available slot was Wednesday 8am. We decided to wait. On Tuesday a senior engineer visited our home (at no extra cost) to further assess the situation. His recommendations actually brought the price down! This was a pleasant surprise indeed, and we felt they are genuine and not trying to sell us unnecessary bits and pieces. On Wednesday, the parts and installation team arrived promptly and they carried out all required work with minimal fuss. Highly recommended.

I booked an electrician through PGS to fix a problem that was causing our household a lot of anxiety and issues. Their man arrived three hours later and left an hour after that with everything fixed and sorted to our satisfaction and great relief (as we thought it would cost a lot more to fix). I really liked the guy who did the work because he was straight forward, no BS and clearly new what he was doing. I really appreciated having an excellent proffessional tradesman who came across as calm, dependable and service orientated. Will definitely use PGS again and have no hesitation in recommending them

I called PGS Services in the morning to advise them that our boiler was not working.  Within 2 hours a person was at my house to assess the problem and advise what was required to fix it together with the associated cost.  After accepting the quote, the problem was fixed by early afternoon.  All round, I was very happy with the service and would recommend PGS Services to others.

When he got here he was affable and knowledgeable explaining to me how I could have my problem rectified and offering me alternatives. The price was in keeping with what I'd expect for the work but was very pleased with he customer service.
