Compliment derekderek (12-06-2008) 3

This set of twin restaurants is nuts. As you’re walking up a treacherous looking set of stairs, trying to get a foot-hold, you are accosted by two gentleman. One on the left pulls you to the left, the one on the right tugging thataway. As soon as you make your choice you duck into what looks like a strip-joint for Santa’s elves. Just think about that for a minute. What would you see in such a place? Well, there are no nekked elves. But besides that? How about more decorative shiny huge-ass christmas ornaments than could possibly be considered safe in such a small place. It is awesome. String-lights EVERYWHERE. Weird objects hanging from other weird objects. 50 people crammed into a room half the size of a bus. And then the birthday music starts. They blast some boisterous Indian party music and the place goes nuts. This place is awesome. As with many of my NY reviews, I recommend going drunk. It is BYOB so you can really prepare. They will rush you out in a hurry though, so don’t take a date unless you’ve got a good follow-up. I don’t remember what the food is like, who cares?
