Edinburgh Wine Merchants

I was really impressed with this shop.
It didn’t have everything, but it seems to delve into pretty deep and interesting places with what it does have.
I noticed: mostly French, a comparably large Languedoc and Roussillon section, a fair amount of Douros, South Africa, The United States, Australia, Rioja, a large Port and Madeira section, and spirits.
I will definitely return to look more.
It helps that I found the staff relaxed, helpful but not pushy, and fun to talk to.

Great shop although better on French wines than anything else. However they organise really good tastings and the staff are always willing to help and know what they’re talking about. You get unusual wines in here and have a chance to try something from a small producer, rather than the giant brands that get into the supermarkets.
