Went to Gatwick this morning to see my son off on his flight and went to Joe’s Kitchen for breakfast.
It was absolutely awful. Overpriced and dreadful. Boiled eggs and soldiers were so hard boiled the kids peeled them and ate them like hard boiled eggs.
My daughter had a milkshake which appeared to have been made with milk which was ‘on the turn’.
I had a pot of tea, which when poured was so anaemic that I had to look inside the pot. There was no tea bag inside! The slight off colour was caused by the accumulated grime inside the pot. When I told the waitress about this, she came over and dropped a tea bag into the luke warm water!
Total cost for a modest breakfast for two adults and two kids – £30.40.
Perhaps we just caught them on a bad day, but this was really dire and I’d advise others to avoid this place like the plague…

Very good – tucked away from the crowds – friendly and helpful staff and good food. Recommend the tuna and sweetcorn fishcakes.
