If you buy clothes, made by H&M, they are so expensive, but there is also cheap clothes you can find which is made in Indonesia, Bangladesh.
The quality of the clothes here may not be as good as those found in Zara or Topshop (maybe it's the way the clothes are displayed, or something to do with those huge red price tags on sale clothing which gets to me) but, on the whole, I think things are more affordable here, and you do find some gems. The designer collaborations H&M have had with Sonia Rykiel, Jimmy Choo, Lanvin and Swedish Hasbeens have gone some way towards upping the brand's reputation, even if it is almost impossible to get your hands on them without queueing up (having experienced a massive online failure when I tried for one of them once).
This shop is very crowded on weekends. Still, even though the lines for the tills and changing rooms were long, they moved quickly, so don't fret. Otherwise, just pop here after work on a Thursday when they open late.
Good ol’ H & M. The location of the world famous yearly “Hunter shop”. If you don’t know me, i hate shopping. It’s just not my bag. But H&M make it very easy indeed. Great for socks and underwear and i’ve also found some nice jumpers and shirts in the past.
The best thing is, H&M is only 50m from my office. Woo hoo!
Hennes is a giant in a suffering economy for a reson. They follow trends and offer affordable options.
Loads of staff, smooth running system, tidy shop, despite it’s size with a massive range in all sizes available.
H&M know that young women want to shop for a new 'something something’ on a friday, even if they are getting paid with coupons right now!
I don’t really shop here but in the past the clothes I have bought have not been too great of quality. But you get what you pay for. I would much rather save my money and buy designer clothes that I know are going to last. However it is good for when I am oon a budget or need some clothes quickly.
like this H&M, or should I say Hennes, because they stock some of the more sophisticated items, and I think I have really outgrown the H&M young fashion style- it has become very gimicky of late, far too many tacky and bright items trying to copy all the crap fads which have been emerging over the past couple of years…. for example new rave. urgh.
Hennes has lovely silky dresses, big comfy jumpers and nice dark washed jeans. Also, I can’t get over the winter items- the huge wooly hats and scarves which are so inexpensive yet so good for the body and for the system I love it. The jewellry too is really good for a quick fox or an emergency. This store is generally quieter than the bog flagship one, with less annoying young girls purchasing all of the tack.
always good quality clothes that can be expensive but if you look ard enuf you can find good clothes and cheep!!
Very affordable however quite a hectic place to shop especially in the sales.
H&M is my favourite shop because of it’s affordable clothes (also that they don’t fall apart like other such places)! However, I only visited the H&M outside Oxford Circus recently for the first time and it was fantastic. The range was far more extensive that in my local store - I will be back!
This is a great shop just outside the tube station at Oxford Circus. They have a good range of trendy clothes at really cheap prices and the quality is good too. The store has a good range of ladies clothes on the ground floor and has never been too busy when I have been there.
H&M is possibly my favourite clothing store. It offers unique clothing that is fashionably balanced (not too conservative, not too insane) at affordable prices that border on cheap. It also has a tendency to fit slim, which is a blessing for those tired of never finding clothes that fit them proper.
Though it may not last till the end of time, they are enough to get through a number of years. It’s not as though you’re wasting a load of cash, true the clothes are trendy and not they are of a high quality. On the other hand buying and equally trendy shirt at a more expensive store will leave you £100 dollars short once it goes out of fashion in a year. You choose.
This store is probably the best 'stocked’ H&M in London. Although it is not H&M biggest store in London but it does have some great selection. It is conviniently located on Regent Street, providing a wider range of shopping merchandise to all shoppers. Have a great hunt in the store!
H&M stores are an asset to the Hight Street. They add affordability and simple but effective designs and styles to the Hight Street. Prices are low and H&M offer very good value for money. Although alot of the stock seems to be plain and simple there are many items of clothing that are abit more fancy which helps if you need to look good or impress but are on a strict budget. H&M also have selected Mens and Kids stores accross the country which is good for the whole family. H&M recently had famous Italian designer Roberto Cavalli introduce a range of his clothing exclusivly at H&M but i don’t think it lasted long. Despite this H&M is a fabulous store to shop at.
I love H&M but i must admit that this store was a bit of a disappointment. I agree with the other reviewer that said that it is a very difficult shop to navigate around and find whatever you are looking for. Although, staff are willing to help find things… but only when you can actually find a staff member to help you which can be very irritating in such large crowds like the ones present when i was there.
there are certainly some super bargains to be had here but you need to be careful because they do sometimes sell a bit of tat.
i dont advise going here at 'peak’ times as the queues can be horrific!
Affordable, recent trend, great bargain. Highly recommended.
H&M provides good quality clothing at cheap prices. It is a suitable store for all the family that caters for everyone’s needs and is a great place to shop if you’re on a budget although it can become a bit messy at times as the racks become disorganised but that may just be my experience of shopping in some of the larger stores. There is usually a basement floor and a ground floor as well as a top floor that sells men’s clothing. The store produces some nice copy cat clothing of the most fashionable items on the catwalk at reasonable prices. Sort of like a cheaper version of topshop with some great buys.
Gotta agree with Zara77 - overcrowded and messy layout. I love a bargain as much as the next person - and who in these times can’t look after the pennies? Maybe its also my age - when I was younger I thought nothing about queuing up for hours in shops Still a fan of H&M though…..
This store is always so overcrowed. The layout seems delibrately difficult and you can never find anything. They clothes are threwn all across the floors like some kind of jumble sale.
The first place I head to. It has a massive range of styles and if you’ve got something in mind you’ll probably find a cheap, nice version at H&M. Not the best quality in the world, however, so if you’re after something to last it might be worth spending a bit more somewhere else.
