The Royal Meridien formerly known as the “National Hotel” is very nice situated (directly next to the Kremlin and the Red Square), but it is more an old “classical” Hotel with history than a new design hotel. Service is good, but the rooms are very small and bed in a single room is a single bed, design is old school. In Western Europe I wouldn’t pay more than 80 EUR for a hotel like this. In Moscow you have to pay more than 300 EUR! Regular rooms do not have a view towards the Kremlin. The spa area isn’t great either.
