Jordan's Residential Letting's

My Husband and I rented a House of Jordans and another agent who was also handling the property. We rented the house for 12 months and paid in advance. After the 12 months we told the agents we were leaving and that we would be moving at the weekend and asked if they could come and inspect the property. They told us they could not come at weekends but could we just drop the keys in and they would inspect it on the Monday and like fools we agreed. I had spent 2 days cleaning and making sure it was spotless and even cleaned the carpets. After a week we heard nothing so I rang them and was rudely told that we would not be getting our deposit back as the house was in a mess! We knew this was untrue and asked that they meet us there to show us, but they refused. We lost all of our £550 and have since been told that they did not have the right to keep all of the deposit. They should have also provided us with receipts but we got nothing! We should have taken them to the small claims court but we were naive. So if you are thinking of renting then make sure you are there when they inspect the property and also take pictures of the inside of the house. I would never rent from these people again!!
