The City Pride is my favourite London pub. It’s comfortable with a great atmosphere and very good service.
I usually go here after work to watch football and it’s usually not so busy and fairly relaxed. Everything looks modern and the decor is good which adds to the atmosphere. There are plenty of flat screen TVs littered around the walls so you’ll never find that you can’t see the TV. Upstairs there is an area with a large TV where you can go if you fancy a little more noise. It’s a very football-like atmosphere.
This is also a lovely little pub when the football isn’t on. It’s usually fairly quiet and the bar staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. What puts this another cut above the rest is the excellent quality of the food. I never expect a lot from bar food, but ordered a burger here once when I was so hungry I couldn’t wait any longer. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found - not a cut price burger, but a tender, succulent burger which was one of the best I’ve tasted. I’ve had no hesitation to order food from there a number of times susequently.
A great little place, conveniently located and with a lovely atmosphere.
The location is great and they have also quite few nice beers on tap. But no atmosphere and sometimes really loud music.
