Review of Spice Hut from 8 September 2009

I love Spice Hut, I think this place is the best within the “Stepney Stretch”.

Their Doner Kobabs are the best I have ever tasted and incorporate a wok style cook up with onions, chilli’s and more spicy sauce.

They also provide a variant known as “Shatkoh-Rah!” a tingling twist of exotic fused lime that gives this lamb doner meat a hint of the indiginous and enhances the taste buds to sensational new heights.

Spice hut also provide the additional PFC food.. as in Perrrfect Fried Chicken. etc.. etcetera..

With its glamorous neon light settings and amazing, sublime, hard working, customer service, I would recommend all and everyone to visit my uncles place.. Amar but? thumar butt?, spice hut..

I asked a regular loyalty card holder of the establishment, Ms. S.Ahad about what she thought of Spice hut.

Me: Do you like this place?

S.A: It’s Grrrrrrreat. Like Frosties?

Me: How long have you been visiting the Ha.. Ha.. “Hut”..(Choo.. excuse me)?

S.A: I remember when I was younger, I used to visit ALLLL the time but now I try to visit as much as I can. I try weekends in between 6 and 6.12pm when they have the food really fresh, just for me and my entourage.

Me: How did you manage to attain the Loyalty card status?

S.A: Luck would have it, I was their first, 100th and 1000th customer. I am extremely lucky to have this piece of plastic.

Me: What are the benefits?

S.A: I am the only loyalty card holder at spice hut, this will entitle me to have my favourite dish delivered to me anywhere in the world on a quarterly basis. I am also entitled to as many Wings, chicken and doners on a Bank Holiday and Eid.

Me: What’s the secret behind their chilli sauce?

S.A: If I tell you, then I would have to kill you.

Me:

Me: Any final comments?

S.A: I love it, I love it, I luuuuuurve it..

Me: There we have it Ladies and Gentlemen, a true fan of the place, someone who has joined all the Spice Hut groups on facebook and may have her own franchise soon. Watch this space, you heard it hear first.

S.A: err.. ok.

If you’re Hungry.. there is only one place to go. Amar, but? thumar butt?, Spice Hut..

Review of Spice Hut from 15 November 2008

Opened not to long ago, couple of years, this is not your average, this is better than average. With neon lights, fancy tables and mirrors around the place this place does look nice.

The food is cheap and cheerful. Kebabs, currys, burgers, rice dishes has it all. The red sauce they do a tad bit spicy with a hint of sweetness to it is lovely! Make sure you ask for a refill as these are usually already on the tables better to have it poured fresh.

One good thing they use to do was after a meal they’d give you after eights and traditional asian pan chew. Not anymore though!

Review of Spice Hut from 16 June 2008

spice hut is one of the best kebaps takeaways i have ever been to. served in naan bread, chunky lamb lies along with scarce salad, what contributes to the sensation that have been dished up a whole lamb. hard to finish indeed.
but the star of the dish is the spice sauce, trumpeted with the clever strap line “license to spice”. a word of caution is needed here. if you ask for a mild kebap it will be hot, if you ask for medium it will be quite hot. burnt tongue and some tears. i once asked for a very spicy one. it killed me. it wasn’t me until two days after in when i got over it.
the best thing to do is ask for a very mild and get the sauce on side. there are actually two. the normal one one is kind of orange and then there is another sauce in a purply-red fashion that looks very artificial but taste good and is not so hot.
i am hooked, my best friend is too and so is my flatmate. try. the kebap is the lamb one in naan, 3,35 as far as i remember.
i once witnessed someone wolfing down a chicken kebap and it didn’t do the job as well
i could not comment on burguers or anything else off the menu. i am a lamb person
